Sea World Trainer Dawn Brancheau

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

I can't believe I was filming this last spring, having no idea that less than a year later she would be gone. How fragile life is. I have been saddened a lot by her death... I hope she knew the Truth.....

Because when they are raised in captivity they don’t know how to hunt to survive although they could have moved them to an open pool instead away from people and fed them.

Yea go ahead and fee them so they can die. They have been so dependent on being hand fed that they probably won’t eat and the first time they come in contact with a boat they would attack it and also the first time they come in contact with other whales they would probably be killed. So you need to think before you comment

I don't hold Tilikium guilty of killing his trainers.Humans must know in the back of their minds no matter how much time you spend working with that animal you can never take the natural instinct of killing out of him. They may be beautiful and such a AWSOME majestic animal but the instinct to kill will always be apart of his DNA.

@@shreyas3157 That is very false. The amount of influence society has one each other is astounding. Killer whales are in various parts of the Ocean. Each group varies in their hunting strategies, level of aggression, etc. These are absolutely insanely intelligent creatures. In order to say that killer whales in fact do not hunt or eat humans in the wild- We'd have to first test that theory. And in order to test that- we'd have to dump a few human volunteers into each body of water with different groups of Killer Whales...to see what happens. THAT is the only way. People who say "Oh lions don't want to hurt people" "oh coyotes , you can train them to be just like pets" " Sharks don't bite" GIVE ME A BREAK. They are absolutely INSANE. Certain creatures were literally created to be aggressive. It is in their DNA. Within every part of what they are. No one can take that away from them. That's like saying you can train a human to never feel one emotion for the rest of their lives. Or training a human to not react in fight or flight mode when being attacked. Or thinking humans are capable of having their basic instincts taken away. These insane people are going around saying " Oh they don't eat people they just bite a leg off or a head and then leave it" LOL really?! You think they don't know what they're doing?! Ie., Orcas hunt Great Whites. They use their hunting strategies to corner the shark and then remove ONE part of it's insides. Leaving the carcass to rot. when you read magazines or media whatever, you'll see how they talk about orcas killing Great Whites. so because they eat one part of the Great White they are not actually eating it? I mean because they spit the rest of any part of it out? they must have thought it was a seal right? I mean because they've killed thousands of great whites at this point and only take that one body part. so when they dismember human beings they mistake them for a seal right? No way. When it comes to the SeaWorld orcas they're tortured...I mean when it comes to THOSE Killer whales then ya.. they're more than likely going to lash out and have the opportunity to do so.. because of the environment they're in. I don't know how in the world they weren't afraid of getting into the water with them. Tillikum messed with people they never made it out of the pool. Other Orcas played with the trainers. By playing I mean the orca drug the trainers down and around the pool. They let the person think they can get away enough to let them swim maybe 2 feet and then they grab them again and pull em down. or..they jump on them and submerse them into the water.. again and again and again..But if they wanted to ..they could kill them. Tillikum Scalped Dawn. He ate her arm. She only had one when her friend saw her. She said they shared rings. The hand with the ring was gone. He literally drug her under..flailed her..threw her across the pool.. flying.. dismembered her body..scalped her.. completely tore off her scalp. No hair nothing..and blood was drained from her body almost entirely..Can you imagine the absolute terror? To be at the bottom of a pool with this gigantic Killer whale coming straight toward you trying to swim out with one arm? While people are STILL looking in the underwater tanks?!! He even kept her torso in his jaws and refused to let go. He just sat there holding her. I mean it's nuts. I would NEVER go near a creature this powerful. No way. Regardless of how smart and or capable we are..they outweigh any of that in their territory..We don't know when or how they will react. They're wild beasts. The most powerful creature in the ocean. Why would anyone assume whether they're in a pool or the ocean that they aren't capable of killing humans? I just don't get why there is this need to state that they just mistake us for seals. I mean...Many mammals were made to be just what they sound like. just what they seem like. People who are insane just want to take that fear away and make people believe it's all sunshine and rainbows. Give me a break.

Dawn was the 3rd person killed by Tilikum. Since he wouldn't have survived in the wild without a pod, they should have mercifully put him down after the first death. I'm not saying it was his fault, he never should have been taken from the wild when young. I understand the orcas still in captivity were born in captivity and can never be released, they have no skills nor social structure to survive in the wild so stop demanding they be released.
