The Ascent Down Sleeping Bag by Sea to Summit is for the minimalist adventurers and all-out explorers!
A 3°C comfort rating & -1°C lower limit (also a -2°C comfort rating & a -1°C lower limit) has it suitable for cold-weather camping, while the Free Flow Zip system features durable #5 full-length primary, half-length secondary, and footbox zippers, finished with zip plows, sliders, and a down-filled draft tube for easy, snatch-free use. Minimise cold spots thanks to vertical and horizontal chest baffles are present in both the lower-half and base, while box-wall baffles exist throughout the construction of bag. Plus, a fitted front collar draft helps to trap heat, while the hood offers a soft-touch adjustment and generous room for a regular-sized Sea to Summit pillow.

Thank you for showing how to convert it into a quilt . I have searched all over and for the life of me couldn't figure it out . I have just bought one of the old versions on sale and it's an excellent bag . Also have the s2s Xtreme mat which is great . Your channel must be one of the best on KZread for gear guides .

Hey guys, great review! I have the older Ascent ii model in size regular. But I think it’s too narrow for me at the shoulders. It says 80 cm shoulder width, But I can’t find the informations for the new bag. Is it wider at the shoulders? Or perhaps the new Spark is? Thx in advance :-)

The new Ascent is about the same in dimensions, STS state 150 cm shoulder circumference. Spark is narrower as it is made to be lighter weight. If you want more shoulder space I'd recommend moving up to a long model. ~ Ben
Needs a face mosquito mesh or something over the face part . Would be insanely perfect than.

Wouldn't make much difference unless you can guarantee an air reasonable gap between your face & the mesh at all times, which wouldnt be possible with a sleeping bag. If the mesh touches your face, mozzies/midgies will still bite you ~ Lauren
