The Sea to Summit AltoPlus Semi-Freestanding Ultralight Tent (3+ Season) is your weightless sanctuary withstanding the heavier weather.
Despite a lightweight design, this tent boasts longevity, standing up to the rough and tumble of outdoor adventuring with superior performing materials including DAC poles, robust YKK zippers, and 7-series aluminium hardware. A tension ridge creates more head-and-shoulder space, greater vestibule area, and higher doorways for easy entry and exit from your sanctuary at the summit. Owing to a fabric inner tent to manage frosty drafts, and a carefully crafted, high-criteria waterproof floor to withstand damage from wetter grounds, the TR1 Plus is designed for 3+ season trips to the summit! Defy the damper conditions from day one, with a seam-taped, PU-coated rainfly that can be assembled before the tent itself to ensure a dry setup and pack-down experience. Plus, apex vents minimise condensation and promote airflow - so every mountain top moment feels weightless.
Click, connect, and get back to camping in seconds thanks to colour-coded poles and pole feet that are quick-clicking and a butt-kicking blend of lightweight and durable. Ground Control Light tent pegs, guy lines, and custom attachment toggles ensure a steadfast setup. A lightbar also offers a point to attach a headlamp for late-night 'tent-ertainment', with the option to secure the tent pole storage pouch to the tent’s apex for a soft, evenly-dispersed light. For versatility on every lightweight adventure too, enjoy three gear storage pockets for the valuables that transform into three stuff sacks for a FairShare, split-load storage system.
The Alto Ultralight Tent (3+ Season) by Sea to Summit is your campsite cocoon on those getaways for two.

I wish Sea To Summit produced videos about the different setups, including putting the Alto up fly first in the rain. Your videos are the most helpful option.

I find one of the most delightful things you do is showing us how you fold the tents up and get them back in the bag. Amazing, many thanks

7:14 You say that without the two pegs at the end it wouldn't stand, but I found that to not be true. The tent actually stands fine without any single peg. However, the two pegs you pointed out are really necessary in order to space it out. Without them, it's very loose and there is little space around your head area. But it does stand :-)

Totally depends on your requirements - semi freestanding tents have less framework, so are lightweight & ideal for the gram counters. Definitely not a waste of money. If you're after the fully freestanding version, thats called the Telos - video coming soon. ~ Lauren
