I love this subject because it helps me understand our sun. The importance of finding out what the elements of our core is. Through tons and tons of study. For some reason I feel like gold nickel and diamonds are important in this process. Everything that we see land wise over millions of years gets recycled through these convections and subduction zones where the planet is recycling land mass deep into the Earth's mantle. We've got a lot of work to do

Thank you so much I just did not get the part where a deep ocean trench is required for subduction and if there is no deep trench, the landmass simply drifts away. Why is the oceanic crust not subdued on the coast where there is no trench?
