Hey, I love this video, very informational and made me completely stop and re-look at what I was thinking about ordering. I'd be all ears to hear you navigate what you would order on the the new 2023 models as the prices and options have changed with the 2023's.

Thanks a million for making this video. Just bought this exact model (compact sport) I found one that someone cancelled as well! Can you tell me if the boat on the trailer will fit in my garage with bimini down or taken off if that's possible? My garage at the entrance is 9' wide, 6' 2" high, and 20' long. This is a huge advantage to having this boat if it'll fit!

That’s the $24,000 question. Lol I’m in the same situation. I have a long driveway however I’d prefer to keep this sort of investment completely protected from all elements in a garage. Can’t wait to see any replies

Just a follow up reply. I seen a user on Facebook (Seadoo switch owners) page and one guy removes the boat from his trailer using a come-along and an anchor he set in the cement. I’m sure as these boats are out a little while longer, you’ll see more clever ways people do it.

Question: Fish finder has been mentioned in many videos I've seen throughout youtube. However when I tried to build this online there is 0 mention of fish finder being an option. What I could find is the following: The Sport model comes with the Garmin Unit - however the only feature available by default is the GPS for some mind boggling reason, I think its probably the least useful feature on the "Sport" edition. I was able to see 2 options for Transducers one is labelled "Depth Finder" $479.99 and has an extremely vague description.. basically says it tells you the depth and displays on your gauge menu, the other option is the Garmin Gt15 Transducer (Which is a depth finder) and its a very lengthy description of an in-hull mounted transducer for accurate depth finding even at high speeds but it is only $399.99... not sure why its cheaper or why the first was so vague. Fish finders are generally also depth readers, Is this "Depth Finder" also a Fish Finder? I assume the Garmin unit itself isn't setup to be able to fish find without one of these transducer options? More information on this would be great!

this is what i believe, and i have ordered accordingly. there are are a couple of different units available for this garmin unit the one seadoo sells appears to be a depth finder (in hull) there is another transducer that garmin sells for this unit that is a fish finder it has to be mounted in the water (like on the back of the boat) the other transducer that seadoo sells is like the depthfinder for a spark, once you plug it in, depth is available on the dash.. i ordered the one for the dash and am planning on ordering the fish finer transducer from garmin and plumbing it to the back

im thinking of replacing my 16' runabout with one of these and i can promise you that the prices theyre quoting for their options are much higher than what you can get better stuff for at west marine. you do have to install it yourself so if youre not comfortable with that go ahead and order it preinstalled but if you can handle a bit of tinkering you can have much MUCH better electronics for a lot less money. and all the other gear like docking lines, anchors, fenders, bimini, lighting...

With the 100 and 170 having the same motor..........i think it would be best to order the 100 and wait for the after market tunes......that's gonna save a ton of money man......

I had pre-ordered a sport compact 170 with watersports and fun bundle. I have the paid invoice for the 500 put down for the preorder. Is there a paper proof from the dealer for your specific order other than the 500?

I had a despot similar to what you are referring to with a dealer in Clearwater Fl (I am in Pennsylvania) The same day I got a call from a dealer only two hours from me that had the Sport 18 (2 left at the time). The first deposit the dealer was very vague and only provided a text verifying the deposit. The second dealer seemed way more professional, they also released us form the deposit with no questions asked. We actually completed paperwork and put a build sheet together for the accessories we added. Signed an actual buyers agreement and initialed several other documents (exactly like buying a car). Had to mail hard copies to them. About a week later got an email form BRP welcoming us to the Sea Doo family. Have to be honest I’m glad we went with the second. I was worried the other dealer was just collecting deposits and would eventually return it if they couldn’t provide the boat but in other words making sure they had back ups for people who backed out of the deal. Based on the agreement we are in now, I wouldn’t trust an order that didn’t come with some confirmation from BRP themselves.

question: the 2 up is cheaper and can even get a longer seat. If I get a 2 up spark plus the 120hp tune, can I put on a longer seat and tow people behind me. I heard you can't use a tow tube or ski on a 2 seater, but what if the 2 seater was converted with more power and longer seat.. also does that mean there is no link to even connect a tow rope to a 2 seater, if not could I get one?

Quick answer: no, still illegal. Long answer: the spark 2 up and 3 up are different lengths. there is an extended platform on 3ups as well as extended seats. You may choose your own destiny with how this setup is, but first and foremost choose the application that best fits your riding needs. Hope that helps!

The Sport and Cruise levels come with a Bimini top. If you go in and add the Bimini top in the options you're adding the larger top. On the base model you can't get a Bimini top only a sunshade that you can't use above 5 mph.

Exactly this is what was the sole decision behind my purchasing of the sport model instead of the base model. Seadoo really didn't want the base model selling it appears.

@@ericporter2373 my total dealer fee was $3,000 with freight and conveyance though. They consider the rest a build fee which is super annoying because it's supposed to be put into the cost of the boat. I'll probably be doing a video on this

I spoke to him, said it was their test model. it looks amazing, totally unique. feel free to watch the videos as they come out. your insecurities will definitely show once you actually start to like them lol

Imagine a world where people would actually take your advice lol. My intention was always to buy the 13 foot (the one you stated nobody would buy). From day 1, I stated this particular size was the one that would be the most fun, it was the game changer. The very first post you stated it would not sell and nobody would want it based on the size of the machine. Literally take a look at the thumbnail of the first two videos I came out with. Are there Bimini covers on the top? That's exactly what I wanted, Bimini included with the 13' 100hp. If you actually watched the video, you'd see there is no availability to purchase the base model with the Bimini immediately, although there's a chance later on it would be available. Anyways, haters are welcome, it just goes to show the popularity of these. I listen to everybody including haters, but so far none of your advice has been received because it appears to be based on insecurity and defensive posturing. I'm happy to have a discussion but there always seems to be some condescending tone behind your answers, including insults which are not tolerated. In conclusion your initial argument on the 13-ft boat is still incorrect. If you're willing to switch your stance and believe there's a market for it, let everyone know you might be able to save yourself some embarrassment. It appears your opinion is pretty unpopular.

I still think your a fool to buy a 13, but i said the top was a must. you didn't do what you said is the point. no tunes available. look back to your "wanna bet" comment. not defensive. i'm just unbiased. I buy sell vehicles. the cheapest stuff is not what people want. just like people don't want 60hp sparks bare bones. are there some out there, sure. I'll sell a 90ibr all day over a 60 even with the more money attached to it. funny you left out you set a fire under brp. lets be honest, your opinion means 0 to them, as well does mine.

@@mikeh4053 I'm not sure of your point behind this statement. Also you are an absolute fool If you think Riva is the only company tuning these lol. Again I will definitely bet you that a tune will be out right away for the 1630 motors. In fact there might even be a possibility of utilizing the GTI tunes. Every point of evidence directs us to the same ECU as well. The only questionable item is the IDF, which was recently repaired. Again I'm not sure your point here but I also mentioned that it was very difficult for me to get the base model so I do believe Sea-Doo is trying to steer people away from purchasing it.
