We Try Motorsports

Hey there! Although the jetski / Sea-Doo portion of our videos took off, we buy run down classic ATVs and restore them the best I can. After or during restoration, I will test them to see how they perform. Enjoy!

The Trixx Waverunner stands out with its extended range variable trim system, making tricks and tight maneuvers a breeze, while its powerful engine ensures rapid acceleration and top speeds. The Wave Blaster II, a classic favorite, impresses with its lightweight hull and high-performance engine, offering unmatched agility and speed on the water. It looks like you have a tired engine, and an even more tired impeller. It's basically a WR500 with a modified upper deck. The instability comes from any rider approaching 180lbs. The Yamaha engines of that era were anemic in comparison to every other manufacturer, but also bullet proof. Top speed should be 30-35mph depending on rider weight. The wave jammer filled a void between stand-up skis and runabouts. It can and will perform a number maneuvers similar to stand up skis, but uniquely will do some of the longest 180 reverse slides of any ski. This is due to its short length and weight control authority that allow you to burry the nose in it's own draft after completing the turn. Although it remedies a number of learning curve issues on the stand up's pole, it creates a whole new set due to the height of the controls during boarding, especially for riders that challenge the skis max weight. CG changes made on the handle bars are also different, as your authority is placed mid-aft on the hull instead of the nose. Considering the ski itself weighs around 280lbs and only produces around 300lbs of thrust off the showroom floor, you can easily see why a larger rider would be a non-starter on them in deep water.

  • @WeTryMotorsports
    @WeTryMotorsports27 күн бұрын

    The ski is actually got some pretty good power! It has really solid compression at 142/141 so the motor is in tip top shape. What the video didn't show is the amount of water in the hull. The seal around the engine cover is shot so I took on a lot of water the first few sessions in, which totally was why the ski was lethargic in the video. However, I am just over 180lbs so that explains a lot as well! What a blast they are though, definitely some of the most fun skis out there. It's very true about the 180 degree reverse slide as well! The problem is there is no power to get out of the slide once you're completely backwards! haha. I definitely am cavitating so an impeller / ring are in the future for sure. Thanks for all the info and for watching! Can't wait to toss a 650 in 🤣

    Hey thanks for watching! anywhere between 1000-2500 I'd say is a good price. $3500 could be reasonable IF it's absolutely mint, highly upgraded and looks perfect. I personally wouldn't pay over $2500 for one. That's my 2 cents.

    @@WeTryMotorsports I was thinking it was a bit high, end up not pulling the trigger and continuing my hunt. Thanks for the advice.

    about 30-45 seconds safely, I believe it can take up to a minute. anything longer can overheat the exhaust/surroundings. the switch will screech when exhaust temps exceed limits.
