SD Sumpter- The Role of Fructose Metabolism in the Pathogenesis of Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Student doctor Sumpter is currently a second year student on the KC campus, also working towards an MBA with Rockhurst University. He attended Colorado State University where he received my BS in Nutritional Biochemistry. He worked for 3 years as an undergraduate research assistant in the “Integrative Cardiovascular Physiology” lab. He studied the impact of gut dysbiosis on atherogenesis. As for hobbies, he likes to bike, lift weights, and go to the movies.
