Student Doctor Mason Tuttle- “Assessing Opioid Overdose Mortality and Evaluation of Take-Home Naloxone Kit Distribution from Emergency Departments in Urban and Rural Colorado Communities”. Student doctor Tuttle completed his Bachelor of Science with a double major in biochemistry and French a minor in biology and later a Masters in Biomedical Science from University of Denver. Prior to matriculating to medical school, he worked as a clinical scribe, ER tech and EMT for several years in the Denver metro area. In addition to his clinical roles, student doctor Tuttle served as the Executive Director for Emergency Medical Minute, a nonprofit organization committed to creating physician-produced free open-access medical education for healthcare professionals, APPs and physicians. At KCU, he is part of the Missouri AHEC Scholars 23-24 cohort, the Global Health honors track and is a volunteer at KC Care’s Xchange center where he distributes harm reduction services to an underserved population. He is interested in pursuing a career that marries his passions for global health, public health and clinical medicine. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys adventuring in nature including camping, hiking, skiing and rafting or experimenting in the kitchen.
