Nice review! So stoked about this longer wheelbase and I'm really hoping they pump out a couple different bodies for it. I'd love to see a longbed Chevy square body like my real-life truck. I've noticed that the biggest problem with throwing together quick little obstacles for these 24's is that almost any time you have all 4 wheels pushing against a step, it's almost impossible to get over without gunning it full-throttle. And even that only works sometimes. I wonder how the Gladiator would have gone up it backwards tho.

To anyone whos thinking of getting one, The stock servo does not need to be instantly replaced. if you remove the servo saver the stock servo is quite capable (from personal experience) I would recommend either gluing the servo saver parts together or (what i did) get a washer that fits the end of the servo saver, stopping the screw from bottoming out when screwing it in. Essentially you want to prevent the servo saver from doing its job.

I agree it does not need to be replaced immediately if you are keeping the vehicle stock, if you plan to add upgrades to the vehicle like steel or aluminum wheels and other heavy parts then it’s a good idea to have a new better servo on stand by 👍🏻

@@UpperLeftRC Totally agree. And actually all you have to do is just simply remove the Spring and put in a screw that will fit into the front of the servo and you are golden. 😎

I super glued those two parts together on my deadbolt. Totally agree, steers way better and it'll actually steer it all the way in either direction unlike with that crappy soft servo saver.

Awesome video I just ordered the same gladiator which is my first 1/24 scale rig. Looking forward to see how I like these tiny trucks.

Have so much fun with the SCX 24 Wrangler (Beadlocks and Baja Claws) in the outdoors.Maybe the longer wheel base from the Gladi make it more stable on steeper climbs. But i hope there some "working" shocks on the aftermarket coming soon ! Nice Video.

You can put more preload on the springs....the shocks have a built in preload ring at the top of the spring just push it down

DAMN IT!!! Mine hasn't arrived yet!!!! Looks good brother!!!!🤘🤘🤘 I don't think the rocks are to high, the rocks are to narrow, bounces off before it can find traction. I think axial needs to have the beadlocks now, nothing fancy, somthing similar to the ones that come with the 24 Hyrax.

The reason why the gladiator or the Betty won’t make it up is because the tires are too firm, get yourself a really soft compound if your climbing over rocks with them

I got mine yesterday. I put the wrangler wheels on it. Looks better black. Now I’m about to strip my c10 and put my Patagonias on it. It’s a good climber. I took the interior out too, the top didn’t sit right. Overall, I love it. Your review is awesome as always. Crawl on! I grew up on the peninsula. Wish I was still there for crawling purposes. Great trails and rocks.

I got mine on Amazon.com it was a Chinese brand 1/20th scale lift, no brand name or anything

Is the reverse modulation that bad versus the forward which is good?

The forward and reverse control are both great, I don’t think one is better than the other per say

Are the tan ones more rare or what they have lots of blue ones on KZread but not a lot of tan, I have a tan and it’s the bet truck ever

I think they are the same rarity, I’ve seen more Tan then Blue so I guess it all depends where you are looking lol

Yeah I use emax servos on all my mini crawlers, they are about $9 on Amazon, I don’t know the strength of them but I know they work great and I’ve never burned one out 😄👍🏻

I own the c10 and jeep. I just bought this one today and love the look and how it handles. BUT the lights on this is a absolute embarrassment compared to the other trucks. These weak lights on a tough rig is such a joke. Axial should be embarrassed

I kinda agree, the front bumper is a joke for sure, the “strength” or “weakness” of the lights as far as brightness goes I don’t think really matters to much in my opinion, they are for a scale look, not really meant to be used in the dark as functioning lights. But hey that’s just my opinion haha 😄👍🏻

Not only that, but the light controls don't work on mine. Channel 3 and 4 are always on, my tx buttons do nothing 🙄 I'm not surprised. I have yet to buy any Axial that didnt have some degree of jank out of the box or lasted the entire first charge without a servo failing.

Depends on the situation, a longer wheel base is great for stability and for trail driving, for rock crawling a shorter wheel base is typically better but again it’s all dependent on what you want to do

It does have a high center of gravity compared to other models but that is pretty easy to correct with some low CG weight 😄👍🏻
