Love the scientific approach. Best I’ve seen👊 btw I got some Mofo Rc monster truck wheel set for my fcx24 after I saw the video of the power wagon. Looks awesome as is but I’ve ordered the rcawd extended thingy. I’ve decided I’ll trim most of the fenders but leave enough so the body can still clip on. I had the smasher but my nephew took it, after he saw it . I was in the middle of making a cool video 😢 Great channel, man! Cool vids.

As expected, SCX24 has plenty of power to spare. I recently installed Furitek on Koysho miniz and it works great!

You can also put some metal balls in the tires for lower cog.

I was wondering which one to buy. If you enjoy rc purely, go for scx24, and if you want to enjoy realistic rendering, go for kyosho. I am going to use it as an example.

Great vid... Thanks! The Kyosho has a smaller body than the Axial and supposedly, they are both 1/24 scale. I am thinking that the Kyosho is either 1/25 or even 1/26 scale, but NOT 1/24 scale.

It’s 1/25th scale

The mini z's are magnificent machines but everything that you do needs to be scaled down a little bit for them they are quite a bit smaller they're definitely not in the same category when it comes to size but Kyosho is far superior in quality and parts, everything

Just curious, did you put the same modifications on the 4x4? :) Great comparison but it's a disservice to the Mini-z considering you've upgraded the heck out of the axial. While it's not performance, you've replaced a ton on it.

No the bumpers are part of the mounting figment so you can’t just swap bodies, if you get the bumpers to go with the body then you can swap them

I'm building a mofo monster truck chasis build now and using the longer hot racing shocks. I went with 2 per wheel. Then I'm buying multiple body's to change out from cc&rc. He has most models of Mt trucks

Axial needs to stop catering for the visually impaired. That body shell is appalling. Very legit testing though, thanks.

If I have to pick, I'd go with Mini Z for looks and style and Rubicon for rock crawling!

I found some 3D printed adapters on eBay a year ago, not sure who sold them but if you look up “Kyosho wheel adapters” you should find some

The low end control on these little guys is never real good. But still fun rigs. I can't get myself to go smaller than 1/14 scale, I just don't do any indoor crawling and scale driving in more my style and the little little guys just don't do it for me. That said i like to see all the little awesome rigs people build.

That many Z seems quite glitchy I've never had an off-road model but from all my mini z cars they are very precise at slow speeds no matter what I do with them maybe a factory mishap
