Honestly this is the most epic combination of VR sculpting, 3D printing and painting he's done so far. And I'm not a Warhammer fan but as long as he does more of these I don't mind what he creates. It's just really cool to watch the process. If I had all this stuff and even a fraction of his talent I'd be creating my own sculptures all day long. My appartment would be full of them.

This is legit one of my favourite videos you've ever done Jazza... It's the definition of inspiring. I've been trying to learn Medium myself recently and have printed off a few things I've made with my kids, nothing serious so far but that's about to change! And if anyone from Games Workshop reads this... PLEASE do the right thing and leave this man alone, or give him an endorsement or something. This is the sort of thing which can bring people into the hobby when they see the coolness of a Space Marine up close and he's giving you some real good publicity for the low low price of free.

I'm so glad to see this progress and detail possible, this is one of the big checkmarks that 3D Printing promised, I can't wait to see a revival of artisanal craftsmanship that can ALSO be wide-spread mass-produced. Today's technology is such a blessing for creative minds, I hope future generations can enjoy these tools at a reasonable price. Hopefully, communities or educational institutions can provide resources for the public in the meantime. Can you imagine a tea-pot designed by the necessity, ideas, and needs of a guy from Louisiana? Or a coat hanger designed with elaborate notches and beautiful details by someone in Jacobstown? To only be shared almost instantly via the web? Being able to make commerce out of it and so on?

So I watched this video a while ago but wanted to come back now and comment. First off, seeing the huge, 3D printed Space Marine fully painted was absolutely awesome, as was watching you paint the standard sized miniature. I did, however, want to offer some advice for if you plan to do something like this again in the future (or plan to print any other large sized figure projects): 1) I highly recommend getting super glue accelerator/activator if you can find it. It usually comes in a little pump spray bottle and, as the name implies, it causes super glue to set pretty much instantly. I know from personal experience how frustrating it can be to either hold two pieces together while waiting for the glue to set or setting two pieces aside, somewhere you hope is out of the way, while you hope it won't get knocked about or jarred before the glue sets; activator solves that problem and you won't have to hold pieces together anymore for more than a few seconds. 2) When it comes to big, multi-part kits I recommend pinning. You can get a hobby drill at most places that sell miniature/model kit supplies and as for the actual pins, you can use pieces of paper clip or wire. You drill a hole into each piece you want to join, and insert your "pin" (made from paper clip or wire) into one side first with some glue, then apply glue to the other piece both where it will join and in the drilled hole and assemble. The purpose of the pin is to provide a further weight bearing support to hold the pieces together along with just glue and it greatly reduces the chances that it will just randomly fall apart from jostling and/or shearing force over time.
