Привет, Джей! Наверно стоило из грин-стафф и блю-стафф сделать ещё центурионов, чтобы было кому раздать оставшееся оружие? Для хобби переделки интереснее, и потом обменять их можно на какие-либо другие юниты. 👍
For a full decade, I've just pretended Centurion suits didn't exist, because I thought they were the dumbest goofiest thing in the space marine arsenal. Hearing your head-canon of them being essentially rapid-response mobile bunkers/gun platforms makes me actually kinda excited for them. Thank you, eons 😅

I honestly like them more than the current primaris releases. The intersessir and heavy weapons team hurt me on a physical level..... I'll be it it's mostly the poses I've seen but they just fail to sell me and actively lessen the model.

One of the really valuable bits of this is HOW you kitbashed him. The plastic and green stuff tricks can be used in a lot of different kits. Loved the vid!
Jay's simple joy at converted Centurions and magnets is such a delight.
Wow, I also thought these looked goofy, I didn't realise that if you changed them completely they didn't! Great conversions, great paint, as usual!

Mad Dok Minis has done an extremely good conversion of them - basically taking the MLs from Devastators and sticking the actual rocket bits from desolators onto the Devastator launcher's body. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lnlrzpKimJO0oJM.html

This is a really good conversion guide. I love how you are using nice and simple bits to expand slightly and using the kit itself to hide any roughness. Well done!
Im also a centurion fan even without the conversions you did but the conversions just make'em better

I've used the Centurion kit as a base for my Chaos Obliterators. Greenstuffed some mutated flesh bulging between the plates and then attach ALL the guns. No need for magnets. 😂
Wow, one of the most well rounded hobby videos i've seen in a while. Great conversion, great painting, nice background. 10/10 ❤
Your description of the Centurions is exactly how the "Tactical Terminator Armor" is used a good example of this is in the Night Lords books there's a fight towards the end of the series where they use the armor just like you envisioned.

In order to truly complete the Babushka doll effect, someone needs to make a space marine, inside a terminator, inside a centurion inside a dreadnaught, inside a warlord titan, inside an imperator titan.

Honestly, the mods you make to them should just be how they are normally. They look so much better the way you do them.
"I am Adorable." - a very adornable centurion
I'm surprised you don't have a magnet stick. You got a little piece of dowel (thick paint brush handle works fine) and embed a magnet on each side with the polarity in line, then I mark one end red and one blue. Blue is for Body and Red is for (R)arm. Since I use it consistently for all my magnetization, magnetic components between models are intercompatible.
60 percent hobbying, 40 percent innuendo, great vid mate.
I love my chunky bois! The look much better in person than in pictures though. And I think a lot of people still don’t know that the pilots have their arms crossed in front of their torsos, and the suit is controlled by willpower.

I've always hated the look of centurions and therefore don't have any in any of my sm armies (smurf, blood angels, dark angels, space wolves or my own dragonlords faction); however, your mods make them look interesting enough that I'm going to give them a go. Great looking conversion, matey.

Wonderful kitbash, i might have to add these guys to my DA list down the line. Btw handy tip for anyone who has trouble with magnet polarity, use a thin tin coated steel sheet + magnets instead of magnet + magnet. I use 0.2mm but you can get thinner/thicker sheets. Biggest plus with the metal sheet is you can place magnets in anyway you want (or if you forgot which way) and it'll still magnetise to the sheet!
I do love them, the derp is endearing
What grit sanding stick are you using to get such A smooth finish on the area your sanding mine does look that good when im done with it.
So... They're like a combo of superman going into a phone box and Tony Stark when he comes out of that cave...
I absolutely love these guys and I went further than any other space marine model I’ve ever painted
Great build Jay. The use of the for sale sign for inexpensive large format styrene is inspired.
So glad to see someone else also love the Centurions! Cant wait to try out this myself!
Gotta love the Seinfeld reference! Haven't heard one from Jay in a minute, and I'm glad to hear it! Great video per usual, and I'd love to see more conversion videos from you guys! Perhaps Jay's take on the Agressors, as described in that hit-and-a-miss GW models video from a while ago?
I dont play or own any table games or minis but i always likes and appreciate the hobby. The amount of work and detail is a true passion. Maybe as a old retired man ill start. Enjoy the videos
Love your take on Centurions, thanks so much for the fantastic tutorial 🦾
Did you go back to the GW paints? I just bought the army painter version to your recipe and I noticed the hue slightly more grey blue then the GW equivalents.
I've never heard any hate for Centurions except when I rip out 6 of them against someone.
It's amazing how some subtle modifications really make the kits twice as good. Really, really nice video.
@dracometeors3010

Those are not subtle.
The centurion kit is the first kit where my craft knife slipped and cut the heck outta my finger. They’re Dark Angels successors, but the lad that wounded me in construction is gonna look like a World Eater that got lost and joined a Loyalist squad lol. What can I say? A model that wounds the maker deserves all the Blood for the Blood God technical!
What are you talking about?!? The Centurions are awesome. Your Intro definitely goes for the Desolation Squad.
The disposable warsuit take on Centurions kinda reminds me of Prototype from Halo Legends which is pretty fkin neat
I am sure this is answered in another video, but where do you get those name plates for your Black Templar? Please and thank you. I am interested in adding names to my Votann I am playing in a crusade!
Wow amazing! How did you do those base tags at the end for the names??
What do you use to make the name plates, would be cool for kill team bases.
Yayyy! My favorite minis are getting a makeover by my favorite painter/hobbyist!!
Fantastic!! I’m totally doing this I have mine still in a drawer. Time to give them new life!
I think the main reason why I dislike them is because conceptually, they're just Terminators with extra steps. It's also why I dislike the Grey Knight Dreadknight, which not only looks incredibly goofy and stupid, but is also basically just a souped-up Dreadnought but leaving out the evocative theme of a fallen warrior forever interred into a robot-tomb to fight on forever.
Wow, awesome conversions! I'm just getting in to warhammer and it's so cool to see all the amazing things people do modeling/painting their miniatures. I haven't even painted my first miniature yet and i already want to try all this stuff out xD
For your weapons, have you tried iyanden yellow contrast? It’s a yellow with an orange hue for the recessed areas it pools in.
How do you do the name plates? Do you have a video tutorial?
What thickness did you use for the plasticard?
Dude… this might be my favourite video you’ve made. There’s so much in this.
Impressive, as always. Your kit bashing and painting skills are amazing. Will be joining your patreon soon, I really want those DOW terrain stls. And I have a lot to share, main theme is, discovering what you have after 15 years of being stored in your attic 😮 I’ve been sorting stuff for hours, and that is just separating 40k and the fantasy stuff, the fun starts when I start sorting the armies. If I remember right, that should be 4 fantasy, and 6 40k😅 not really sure, it’s been a long time.
Wow..Nice Work .Always thought centurions looked a bit odd but the work you have done has changed my mind .Might pick up a set and get the saw out .
Hi ! Where did you find magnets of this shape, 1.5MM x1.5MM ? I could definetly use that for my leviathant dread, ought arms ^^
Awesome videos as always man...Keep up the great work.Question The name tags are 3d printed right?
Your passion and enthusiasm for the hobby is infectious,
4:08 what kind of plastic is that at how thick is it? Polystyrol (PS)? 1 mm thick? Or something else?
I really like custom build and the base work! Gives me some good ideas. Time to get some milliput
3:58 "B-brother, what are you doing? IN THE NAME OF THE EMPEROR BROTHER PLEASE, NO"
The centurion kit is one of my favourites. So many armour panels, pistons and other bits to use for conversion. I used a bunch for my 30k WE Praetor recently.
If I ever get myself some Centurions for my Salamanders, I'm definently coming back to this video to make these modifications.
Man you actually make me want centurions now. They always looked so goofy to me, you make them look so badass, I will definitely be doing this soon ~
Now that's a nice conversion! 💯 Great video guide too.
Best paint job I’ve seen on your channel! Unreal
Your presentation is so good! your flow is great and it feels like you should defo have a TV show of some kind
Red for the trim also looks great on black Templar centurions, and lore friendly too as these marines are in the marshals house. Great models 💯
How thick is that plastic sheet? In case someone wanted to copy your process
How did you get the name plates for them? Were they just 3d printed?
How did he do those names on the bases? Their so cool I would love to get something like that for my models.
I'm with you. I've always loved the centurions. Your conversion ideas make them just that much better.
I always thought they look cool. I love yours to. Such a good tip a unit that could get tar pit like the Centurions is good to outfit them with flamers.
You're not doing me any favours in the 'I don't need another model kit I got dozens' department xD awesome work indeed!
May I ask what thickness of card you used ?
I loved how silly they look. They bring me great joy to see on a battlefield.
your idea for increasing the size is brilliant. perfect timing too!
"This is the last time im building them" Are you sure of that Jay
Definitely doing this exactly as you did. Sorry for copying. It just is perfect. Where do you get the plastic sheets from?
Where'd you get those name plates? Looks very good.
"I want a dreadnought sized bulge" is maybe the best quote from any Warhammer video I've seen
fascinating! how did you remover the primaris mutation from them?
These are some of the coolest kitbashes I've seen. Amazing work
I love the centurions so much I decided that I wasn't gonna magnetize mine so I could build more! I currently have 9 and always wanna build more
Where do hobbyists get those wood bark I can’t find any shop that has them. Do you buy a bag at hardware store and dry them out
Took a break when 7th came out after playing since I was a nerdlet back in 3rd Ed. Bought some centurions when my buddy got me back in with 8th, modeled them with the HB/HuB loadout and threw them into a Raven Guard list I had made up. Thrashed him in my second game back with the centies doing the heavy lifting in T2, and it felt good. So, I bought another box, made a squad of six, and laughed as I imagined a squad of onyx-armored big boys hunkering in the shadows until they get the order, and then popping out to erase everything in a hail of mass-reactive rounds.
“What the f*ck? That is actually very cute” -The emperor of mankind
I honestly just glued the grav and drills to they’re backs
Jay sold out with the paint racks! Team bin of paints!
Late to the party, but in love with the changes. How thick is the sheet plastic you used? You mentioned you cut 3x of the shapes, but didn't specify how thick that actually was. Thank you!
“Their crotches have been bulged”. Iconic😂
I’ve been sitting on a centurion kit for a while now, I know what I’m gonna do with them after this vid!
I used to play, now im back into 40k for the lore. But conversions and hobby talk really brings me to a happy place. The centurions were a secret love of mine, but your conversion elevates them like no other. Good job.
Amazing video! saved for the day I decide to get a squad of them
How did you get those name plates? They look cool.
