Screwing Gutter Miter While On Roof!
Tired of having a crooked screw placement? Use this simple trick of screwing from the top first to get a guide hole. Then remove one screw and leave one in to hold the placement. And screw in from the bottom. And repeat! 🙂

Excellent tip. I like your idea of overlapping inside like that.

Glad it was helpful!
I don't ever use zip screws on bottom of my cornered miters. Less screws the better, that's how you prevents leaks. I can see how much easier it is to do it the way he is showing, cosmetically though doesn't look right.

I took the screws back out than ran them from the bottom. Screwing from the top was only to give me guide holes!

It's completely unnecessary to add screws to the bottom at all if you know what you're doing.
No need for the screws dude tab over the lip on the top and zip it there if you have to do that yr gutter ist set right
How do you feel about contractor franchise companies?
Why would anyone zip the bottom of any miter you’re just asking for leaks . Caulking don’t last 20 years . Just creating an unnecessary point of failure in a gutter system is it not 😂

Pro tip? Lol I bet they look terrible on the outside with those screws sticking out. Also screwing them from the inside to outside can cause leaks in the future.

And how do I know you're brand new- he's taking those screws out they are ONLY to mark the holes for later. Was he supposed to reach around and guess where to mark his holes or just hope they're placed correctly on the miter from below? Use live drone footage so he can line up? Bro just sink two screws where they should go and then take them out. Boom two holes marked rocket science

Also you're brand new so I might mention that gets caulking later too

@Saintsi you got it 👍
Pro Tip?!?! Your hand tabbed corners are elementary and sloppy. You will get better with time. You dont use screws on hand tabbed miters. I got a pro tip for ya-- you use rivets

Hahaha I was wondering when I was gonna start seeing the insecure gutter guys that have to argue with ever thing start commenting. Here's a pro tip you start making videos and show us how it's done.

@@onegutterguy560 He just missed what you said about being 2 stories up and in a bind to get the job done. I like your tip of using screws. Looks great!!! It is not sloppy in any way.

There’s nothing wrong with using zips in miters, I’ve done it for 9 years and never had a problem, my only issue with this video and you need to do your screws I. The other direction, color on bottom, not stainless sticking thru the miter
My only issue with this is I think it looks cleaner having the screw heads on the outside VS having the threads popping out the bottom. Yea, two stories high you’re not gonna be able to tell as much as only 1 story high but still. Anywhom, great work hombre

The point is to take its out then run it through the bottom and have a guide hole. Thanks for the feed back!
