With all them tips, a tip for you would be to put your screws on the top of the maker so they are hidden it looks much cleaner

I've adopted a method with the strip miter that only leaves one seam and its always pretty. Fast and easy to cut by hand with some long blade snips. Do whatever works for you but when it comes to gutters, it's quality over quantity. Cheers! 🍻

I was amused seeing the downspout connected to the gutter without using a cup. Cutting an X in the gutter and bending the flaps and then screwing into the flaps is real redneck. It's quick, easy, and economical but now you have an area with sharp edges that will catch debris and a narrowing that restricts water flow.

See we don’t screw the bottom. We install a miter on a section then screw from the back then the top lip face and the middle between that screw and the bottom. By doing that the bottoms line up and we don’t have to add extra screws to be seen. Everyone does it differently but we have less screws shown and both bottoms even.

Thanks for the tips , great video. Could you tell me in this case the size of gutter and downspout you used ? Also the x cutout pattern hole , is that a tool for that ? or you did it based on the downspout size?

The best way is to go on roof pull the drip edge out just a little pull a mark at the middle lets say 40ft long so i would pull mark 20ft then i mark 20' 1/2" line up your marks and perfect every time. If there is an inside miter you don't have to pull a mark. If there is an outside miter you have to pull mark from your outside corner to center. I cut miters with hacksaw its quicker.

No diverter on top of the lip of the gutter for the intermediate downspout, you just add a “ double pipe “ lol I don’t know what kind of costumers you All have or if it’s just the way things are but a diverter and a single pipe would have work and should have moved the second to one of the opposite ends to help disperse the water . Unless you were going into a in ground drain.

If I'm installing 1 gutter all around a storage shed, so that I can have one downspout I would need 3 box miters but how much of a drop measurement do I need for each gutter so that the water flows to the downspout?

Much respect for making this video, you have to make yourself a little bit vulnerable to talk about these kinds of things openly but it's very important for men to be discussing mental health. The world would be a better place if we could all do that.
