  • @pixellee5242

    @pixellee5242

    3 жыл бұрын

    That varies greatly. Cheapest and easiest solution would be to get a strip or box miter if that'll cover the damage. Otherwise you could make a patch but you'll have a seam, unless you replace the full length of the damaged piece(s).. so anywhere between a few bucks to a few hundred.. if you have a company replace the full pieces that are damaged, could even be over a thousand..

    It depends. I just did a clean and reseal on a house with corners done like this, they had 6 failed corners out of 12. The gutters were about 20-25 years old. The corners that failed (3 outside and 3 inside) were all on long runs (one or both sides over 35 ft). Thermal expansion had seperated the gutter from the sealant on the face seal of the inside corners, so it seems to be a weak point. The outside corners had tears on the backside where the tab had been folded, and had also seperated the sealant from the gutter on 2 of the corners as well. On most failed corners I've seen, the problem seems to be too much stress on the sealant from the thermal expansion of long runs. Seperation of gutter and sealant (make sure it's clean and dry when you apply!) Or tearing of sealant (screws/rivets in the right place for mechanical support, or maybe add enough sealant that it can stretch. That's a bit of a risk thou.
