That coil you loaded will only work from the back spool if it's a reverse color 🤟

Guess that would be the only way to gutters out of a van. Ill keep the pick up trucks.... Thats a shit ton of coils to have sitting around.

It's not backward. I load coil every day, he wasn't backward either time.

Yup, backwards. He was likely focused on showing the loading process for the camera. I hope the second roll was enough to get him through the day.

This is awesome. Youd think one of the machine companys would put together a system like this instead of the lame carriage they come with

@@danscribner2191 That's a bummer, would have really worked great for us! Wish I had the design on those coil trolleys the rest would be easy to fab up. Thanks for getting back though!

How many pounds or kilos are those coils

Depends if it's a full coil, the size of the coil, and the thickness. Those are probably 15" with .027" thickness. Full roll I believe is 350lbs.

🤣 the only way you loading a full coil without help of something like that is running a board through the spool and two strong guys.. enjoy your back problems too. Let alone if they drop the thing..

A forklift is best, but mechanical assistance should be a minimum.

It's possible he doesn't have room to operate a fork lift, or store it and the van in the same space at the end of the day. Maybe that setup is 1/4 the cost of a fork lift and easier to maintain. Maybe he doesn't want to deal with the additional work of keeping the necessary forklift operator tickets up to date for himself and his team. He's obviously put more thought into his setup than you did your disrespectful comment.
