You are the only one who actually helped me fix my Hp Chromebook

I've had this problem for a couple of months now and this past week has been when it's become a problem. Almost anywhere I move it it does this. And today I finally decided to do some research. And then I found this. This is very similar to my problem and the problem your having is just like mine. You are truly a life saver. I was really started to get pissed.

it happened to me along with a weird really scary and loud glitchy sound and i was freaked out but also really confused, my leg barely hit the bottom of the thing.

This was so helpful. Can you make the video on how to remove the screen and make the repair?

my chromebook flip has recently been doing this. i was wondering: would it boot without the screen connected? my plan was just to use the thing with an external monitor attached since the two hinges are already broken

Tried this several times but doesn't work. My flicker seems time based, kicking in after an hour or so but the cpu temp is ok. Using with the base removed (!) seems to cure it hwver!

the best way to fix display problems is to just hit the bottom of your chromebook

For me it was the back of the screen itself. Thanks for the idea. Some gentle persuasion worked wonders.

Mine is literally doing that

We have a bunch like this. But instead of flickering. Digital boxes and lines will show up and the chromebook shuts down. We have like 30 of these that does this

Yeah, for us the cable can come loose over time. Some of the cables have retaining clips which help to keep it attached, while others are held on there by tape.

I've noticed with my Chromebook that the flickering issue has something to do with the taskbar. The screen doesn't flicker when the taskbar is up during certain processes, but as soon as the task bar drops, the screen begins to flicker. I've decided that Chromebooks are outdated junk... To think an Android phone can stream games on Twitch, but a Chromebook can't... Quality junk. I just bought the thing last night, guess I'll be returning it.
