Absolute best 😅
Mind blown by that bunker at the end! The gaps between the pieces ended up just looking like breaks between massive slabs of concrete, this is a great look. I love the pipes and the console and the sound of snapping styrofoam too. There's a ton of great ideas in here, thanks Eric :-) I've gotta get back to painting and playing Necromunda, I"m definitely gonna keep this in mind.

Nove Cento Thanks! I believe not every project needs to be so grand an undertaking that it’s on the workbench for months at a time!
Eric, I have been gaming since the 80's and still D&D and 40K today. Mate.... your terrain videos are an absolute inspiration. Lesson : Never leave anything in the recycling bin that might become terrain. You have the eye of an artist and the gung ho attitude that says I'm building this idea and using whatever I have to do it. I'd patreon but am out of work until this virus is done with but rest assured I'll be signing up as soon as possible. Yeez man you even taught Wyloch new techniques.... keep it up buddy. From Nigel In Australia.
These are absolutely top Eric! You nailed that blood splatter. I love the way you paint up the 'crete! The stacked bunker is inspired!
These style of wall reminds me of the scenery in the live action Halo 3 Landfall trailer with the UNSC marines and ODSTs fighting the brutes
ROCKIN. YES.

Wyloch's Armory WOW! I feel like I have made it to the big leagues now that Wyloch himself is commenting on my video! Glad you liked it.
Man I never thought I'd get this deep into the hobby so fast but after watching your videos you've made some really awesome looking terrain pieces and really highlighted how surprisingly easy the actual process is. It really makes me feel like this is legit something I could just do myself.
Wow ultimate modularity

Kirk Geier Yes! Modularity is the name of the game
YES. The BAM BAM sound effects when doing the blood effects are KEY to getting realism out of it. Well done, Eric! I love the layers to this. Accessible to make for beginners, but with added details that turn it up to 11!!!
Some graffiti would be sweet! Great Build!

tt thanks, I appreciate that! Working on the next one right now
It'd be interesting to see how you store all of your projects. Very cool btw
I got myself the extruded foam today both 50mm for columns and 25mm for the walls. Man o man, your cutting is so precise. If I've learned one thing today, its precision cuts with a blade are very tough indeed. Am going to hold onto my foam stock and get a wire foam cutter to do this properly.

Harumancer i have many years of pulling out my hair after making terrible cuts to practice. Foam cutter might just be easier
Love the modulatory of this. Great project, well done.
I am coupling your fantastic method with vinyl floor tiles (charcoal slate, making an underground compound) on EVA foam jigsaw gym mats. Instant flooring for horus heresy zone mortalis. Thanks for all your great content. The Mordheim vids have been amazing for me, as well!
very easy but amazing look! thanks for sharing!

Putting them together to make bunkers is a great idea! Terrain takes up a lot of space, so it's nice to have multiple uses.
Brilliant work, thanks so much for the inspiration.

Quick question, could you possibly list the pieces the set needs please? Thanks.
@EricsHobbyWorkshop
4 жыл бұрын
Sure! You need: XPS insulation foam (1”), toothpicks (the round sturdy kind), white pva glue, and acrylic paints. Knives, sandpaper, a pencil and paintbrushes. For the details, I used two sizes of pipes: one was from a bag of cheap pipe building toys from amazon (about $8 for a big bag) and the others were from a novelty “build-a-straw” kit. I also used some plastic traffic signs, street lights and gas station pieces that came with a cheap toy car garage that I will be making into a piece of wargames scenery in a future video, but any little bits of detail you have lying around will look good. I used some styrene stripping and round rod for the little monitor as well. The rest of the pieces (floor tiles, doors, scatter terrain) come from the Necromunda starter set from Games Workshop. In the final shot, I used a plastic platform that I found at a thrift store. I also used some toy barrels that came from a dollar store space shuttle launching set for the final setups. Let me know if I missed anything you were wondering about!

I also used superglue and a hot glue gun!

Eric's Hobby Workshop Thanks, really helpful. One last cheeky question, how many sections altogether and can you possibly list what you made please? (Short, long, corners etc) Thanks again, I’m trying to get back into tabletop gaming but on a tight budget so this really is perfect.

Reverend Boogie Ah. So, some of the tiles have ruined sections on the flip side that I actually haven’t made yet, so they didn’t make it into the video But the grand totals are: 10 corners + 3 ruined; 7 short pieces; 6 long sections + 1 ruined; 1 long corner; 1 full length section. I made the pieces in batches, and a lot of zone mortalis games don’t use all the tiles, so nothing wrong with building them a few at a time as you need them. I seem to have lost the calculations for how many of the component blocks The project needs, but I made extra anyways. Some were ruined with failed techniques, some were too sloppy to use. The video also omits that some of the longer blocks use a longer component piece that is the length of the door as well.
Well, that's my next project sorted. Great work mate, and thank you!.

You are very welcome, I really enjoy making these videos. Let me know how your project goes, I’d get a real kick out of seeing your take on it when it’s done
"...would be better if I had a hot wire cutter; but I don't." YES!!! You, sir, just moved into my favorites list. Keep it real!!! No wire cutters!!! Most people don't have those at home.
Absolutely fantastic! I'm so grateful that I found your channel before I threw money away onto super expensive mdf stuff. This is exactly the type of project I've been looking for!

Excellent and easy to copy! Totally love the 'how-to' on bits like the blood-splatter and the rusty pipework. Please, please do some more!
Hi Eric, I've only just found your channel and I have to say I am amazed with your work Sir, they are simply stunning... I've never played any game's, nor have I ever built anything like these, I just find watching them extremely interesting and love seeing how you bring everything together from odd bits and bobs to make something that looks amazing when finished... Please, keep up the great work... Take care and keep yourself safe... John...

86Corvus maybe? Thats not what my reference pictures show. Would depend on the conditions and environment I suppose. If anything grime would collect in the corners where the walls meet the floor, but since these pieces are modular I couldn’t do that. The fun thing is you can make your own the way you want!
Niiiiice work. Love the paint job. Full of character and usable for so many games. Well done.
