I will show you how to safely and effectively identify and sort the metal in order to help maximize your profit and divert as much of the material away from the landfill as possible.

    Final breakdown: 1.5 lbs. # copper ($6.45), 22lbs. steel ($2.20), 10lbs. cast aluminum ($8.00), clean aluminum 3 oz. ($0.08). Please note that currently price of cast aluminum went up from $0.75 to 0.80

    I would’ve paid you like $50 for that thing. They have a collector value. Especially older ones such as this.

    Yeah, don’t find them often. It was funny, my brother is an electrician and he actually just replaced a few not too long ago and was bragging about the copper find from the transformers.

    hello tin Man , nice video about a rare find, thx for that ! I have a question , sometimes I find little metallic discs while scrapping, seems there is always one on the sice of fridge compressors usually they have a frosted coating maybe due to corrosion or so but are silvery shiny underneath. Do you know what metal this is. Thx a lot and greetings from germany

    if non magnetic and shiny underneath going to say stainless or aluminum. If he hit with a grinder blade and it sparks it is stainless

    G day James Funny I have one like this , was going to use it as a yard light, but with price of hydro & everything I think led is the way to go I think mine was 400 watts, which would take alot of hydro Good find. Just think if u did not pick it out, landfill Wonder how come aluminum is going up? Thanks

    People actually collect vintage lights and appliances if you sell them you will make more money than scrap

    I agree, but again, I have seen several items on eBay waiting for a buyer for 2+ years. I don’t have the storage space to keep all the vintage items I find. Yes scrap is definitely lower money than selling to collectors, but just glad to at least divert from landfill
