Great build, man. I like how you're also using Oyumaru to make press moulds. The end result looks perfect, well done

Hello again...a lovely job there,it didn't look much when it was the putty colour but when you got the wood painted it looked great, I will say to my eyes it looked more in keeping with goblins, I've always imagined dwarven machines being like giant crossbows or cannons,I've just finished a sabre tooth giant tundra bear, painted, based and everything so i'm pleased...cheers now

Very cool result. How did you sculpt the nails into the wood? Did i miss that part?

I dont remember off the top of my head but I usually use the end of a cheap mechanical pencil, just push the lead in and use the tip to stamp little circles.

@@ScruffyCrow Good to know that there is no "official" tool for a job like that. Thank you!

this might be a mad out of the box suggestion but instead of using sculpting putty for the winding Gear why not just use string

I'v had a few issues with painting string before, personally for me I prefer not too, although I believe running a lighter over cotton before using it stops it from fraying when painted.
