This is such a clever way to actually talk out loud about **/*****/**/* while still following all the proper caveats of the lore. Holy shit, man; this is so good. "Foundaria", the different floors of the castle representing different security clearance levels, the king representing either the administrator or the 05 council, the characters that represent D-class personnel having names that start with the letter "D". So damn good. Like, most channels would have just talked about SCP-2521. But that would go against the very idea of what it does. Talking about how it can just walk through walls, comes after any device, or object that contains information about it. Even just talking, writing, or typing about 2521 will make the creature arrive suddenly and take that pers_

Can't agree more with the first part. "but having no written words in a (keyword:) "writer's" contest could make a few people miffed. " I see the Problem but - as you - I can not agree with them. I understand, that they'd get the Feeling someone cheats, if that Person doesn't use Words in a Writers Contest; but a Writer doesn't necessarily need to use Words, as long, as he/she can tell a Story. Especially on the SCP Wiki, where the Form of the Main Articles are so restrictive that a Writer's means of being creative and innovative while sticking to the Formula is simply limited. ___ The other Point about the Articles breaking Immersion, because they don't affect the reader: I never thought about that, to be honest. When I read something, I take myself out of the Equation. For the Duration of the Story, I - as an actual Person - stop existing, at. Therefore, I never had the Problem with Immersion breaking because, for example, a memetic Kill Agent left me unscathed; to me, I'm not part of the Story. I think, that's one of the reasons, why I like this SCP; because it forces me to invest myself to be more than just a neutral Watcher. It's basically the same reason, why I love the recent Takes on Meta Horror Games, where the Player has to interact with the Game's Files, rather then interacting with the Game only within the Games' Boundaries.

So you're saying that you never needed justification for why hazards never affected you because you never actually came to the realization of you in relation to the anomaly in the first place? Interesting. In a way, I was attempting to make a workable explanation into the story but didn't think that the best solution to a break in immersion is to not even register it in the first place. That's a really interesting way of media consumption; usually when something like that happens it breaks my immersion (glitch in a game, typo in a book) so I try to remedy it by giving a justification story-wise, but I never thought of not thinking.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying, it's necessarily a good thing to not see myself as part of the Story. Yes, these "tiny" things like "Why can I remember SCP-055?" don't bother me, because I see it as a Story with an interesting Premise. And that's the Point - I see these only as Stories. It makes it hard for me to connect with Characters, because - in best Case Scenarios - I see myself as a bodyless Entity that only observes. Even Articles like SCP-231 didn't really make me feel much beyond a short "Aw, that sucks", as it was "just a Story" and a little Girl, that has to endure the most horrible Things imagineable on a daily Basis is to me just a fictional Character. I'm fully aware, that she's nothing more than a Story-Device to make Poeple feel pity for her and in Terms of character driven Immersion it sucks. I can't feel for her, because I can't immerse myself into the Story enough, that I actually care about her. I've read the 231-related "Only Fear" a few hours ago but besides a short "That's a nice Twist" I was more interested in the Implications of the "Solution" for 231-7. (I won't spoil it, if you haven't read it) The un-personal cold Nature of the SCP-Articles makes it of course even harder to connect with any Characters. That's why SCPs like this one work for me way better, because suddenly I - the Person in front of the Screen - is asked to actively do something besides imagening in my Head, what is described in the Article. I have to do something besides passively observing.

I've literally been rewatching so much of your stuff recently, but your interpretation of this is SPECTACULAR

Just reading some of the Comments on the Article and seeing a lot of Negative ones, because it "cheated" or "Sidestepped", as it was written as an Entry for a Short Story Contest, where you had to do an Article with the least amount of Words. Either those Comments or "The Monster isn't interesting/scary". And I get neither of them. The Purpose of such a Contest is, so Writers can be creative while under the Limits of the Contest. Circumventing the 500 Words-Limit by not using any Words at all isn't cheating, it's Genius! It's exactly, what a Contest like this is made for, so Poeple can be creative and think outside of the Emperor-damned Box! As for the "It's not interesting/scary"-Comments: It may not be scary, but neither is SCP 682 or 076. And those are staples on the Wiki. And this SCP is way more interesting than a regenerative Lizard and a immortal Weeb in a Coffin. (Nothing against Anime-Fans, but Able tickles the Angsty-Teen Spot, let's be honest) FFS, Ables Inspiration and meaning behind his Existence is more interesting than his Article. SCP 2521 is interesting, because the Article is part of, how it's presented and doesn't just describe it. If someone simply wrote about it, yes, it's not very interesting. But the Article makes it interesting, because you, the Reader, has to put actually some Effort into figuring it out.

Yeah, I might should have phrased that one a bit different - Able himself isn't a Weeb, but he is definitely, what every 14-year old, edgy Anime-Fanboy pictures himself as or wants to be. Tattoos all over his Body, "Sleeps" in a Coffin, Ability to create bladed Weapons out of thin Air, nigh unstoppable killing Machine...just change his Blades with Katanas and you got your Template for a Deviant Art-OC. For the Emperors sake, I just googled Pictures of him and in most Fanart he looks like he originated from an Anime or a Final Fantasy Game, not the Bible. Again, nothing personal against Anime itself and many of the Pictures look really good...but he still looks like every Weebs wet dream.

It's unknown if it kills them or kidnaps them. Personally, because it clearly shows a Heart in it's Face AND because of the Fact, it only takes the Sheet of paper, if someone writes about it, I don't think the SCP kills the Poeple it takes away. At least not intentionally. It's very likely it exists in some kind of Pocket Dimension (similar to 106, who is using a Pocket Dimension to bring it's Prey to) and brings the Poeple, it abducts, there. It could be, that the Pocket Dimension isn't suitable for Humans (maybe no Nourishment except the other Poeple and Paper, the SCP brings there) or maybe even no Oxygen. But that is just speculation on my part.

From the set of behavior you and the video describe I got the idea it might be the interdimensional equivalent of a spy trying to protect his cover while he investigates our realm. Perhaps the people he abducts are back in his realm being interrogated or even made into double agents by whichever force he works for.

Interesting Theory, but that wouldn't eplain, why it ignores the Person writing Information about it or even Pictures of it, if it wants to cover up it's Existence. (Let's not forget - there is a Photograph of the SCP and it's easy to draw a Picture of it or describing it in Pictures) Though, I admit, it's way of thinking could be so alien, that it doesn't comprehend, that Humans can convey Information in other Ways than through Words and simply thinks, by taking anything written or Peoeple talking about it, it can cover it's Existence. But I'm more on the Camp of the Poeple believing, that it is simply very narcissistic and loves, when someone talks about it, be it written or spoken and that it's generally not evil in Nature. There's even a very heartwarming yet disturbing one Page Comic with the SCP on the SCP-Wiki I found yesterday called "Silent Forest". (I hope this Link works scp-int.wikidot.com/silent-forest-ikuragunkan ) Like a Bird that collects shiny Objects regardless of actual worth, be it Tinfoil or Jewelry, it simply collects anything, that speaks about it lingually. It doesn't take Pictures about it, because it's not a "shiny" Thing, so to speak. I'm at least pretty sure, that it can not comprehend Pictures or Photographs; of that one, I'm 100% certain.

That's exactly, what I love about this Video. No one thought, it would be possible to explain exactly what the SCP is, without breaking the Role or doing some cheap "The narrator dissapears at the End of the Video"-Clichè. Everything you need to know is in the Story.

This is by far the best SCP that I know of. Anyone who asks about what is this SCP thing, I send them the wiki from this, and let them chew on it for a while. Everytime It freaks them out a little bit.

SCP 2521 is almost like its own kind of Roko's Basilisk, where simply knowing about it puts you in danger
