He recited it beautifully and emotionally. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for passing on Refaat's message. He worked hard to liberate Palestine and although he would not witness that day, he has given hope to Palestinians. The once silent cause is echoed across the world.

Always a fan of Brian Cox. To see him read this poem written by a Palestinian poet who has been targeted and murdered by Israel is heartbreaking. I am from a tropical Asian country, but the struggle resonates with our history when we were also under colonization. It took us 300 years to rise up and gain our independence. To see a freer Palestine, without these hostilities from Israel and to see Palestinians being treated with dignity, justice, and respect that the rest of us enjoys is what I'm looking forward to. 🇵🇸

I would have liked to have seen one of politicians in Parliament today at PMQs reading out that poem at the same time scrutinizing closely the faces of both Sunak and Starmer to see if either of them has a vestige of humanity left, or whether both of them has sold their souls to the military industrial complex killing machine for profit.

"Tears Are Not Enough" As every day goes by How can we close our eyes Until we open up our hearts We can learn to share And show how much we care Right from the moment that we start Seems like overnight We see the world in a different light Somehow our innocence is lost How can we look away 'Cause every single day We've got to help at any cost We can bridge the distance Only we can make the difference Don't ya know that tears are not enough If we can pull together We could change the world forever Heaven knows that tears are not enough It's up to me and you To make the dream come true It's time to take our message everywhere C'est l'amour qui nous rassemble D'ici ?l'autre bout du monde Let's show them Canada still cares You know that we'll be there If we should try together you and I Maybe we could understand the reasons why If we take a stand every woman, child and man We can make it work for God's sake lend a hand

The loss of Refaat Alareer is a huge loss for Palestinian people and for humanity. He was kind, he was brave, beautiful, soulful. He will never die, but it wasn't meant to be this way. He had family, he had students, he had his Palestinian people who needed him. Who did it, did a huge crime, together with 9000 crimes killing innocent children of Gaza. Israel completely lost its place in the civilization we were tending to. They talk about the Bible, and we all know how the Bible is conceptualized; the measures of the Old Testament are not even in concordance with the moral standards of the contemporary world. They must be looked at as a part of historical evolution. I am saying it as a Christian in my religious family roots. Dear Refaat, losing you we feel terrible pain. We will continue your path as best as we are able to. And thank you Mr. Cox for this profound interpretation. God bless you and all good people around the Globe. Save the children of Gaza, permanent ceasefire right now is crucially NEEDED. - from Croatia, Europe 🌹🌹🥀🥀🥀🥀💔💔❤‍🩹❤‍🩹❤💘💓💞

😢😢Sad and yet a celebrated message of hope and belief. Belief that his message will be heard and read. And so it will be. Shukran Refaat for your beautiful poems. You may have left but your story will continue your legacy. May Allah SWT grant you Jannatul Firdous. 🤲🇵🇸
