It's crazy how everyone forgets there was a traffic accident in which someone died. Means paramedics, maybe firemen, tow trucks and drivers, are now extra people walking in, or around the road making traffic even worse. So maybe, just maybe, the cop was being over protective for safety. I'm sure we all want to be out in the rain, the cold, the early morning, for hours on hours, and then deal with annoyed drivers wondering why traffic is backed up. So he was over protective, no big deal. Someone's life just ended, and the lives of all their loved ones just changed. Who gives a s**t about a golfer that was late to work.

This is so stupid. He's being charged with assault because he went the wrong way down a road around the course that had a confusing traffic pattern, so a cop decided to JUMP ON HIS CAR. He pulled over immediately. They keep saying "10 yards" but it takes 1 second to travel 30ft in a car so let's drop that "being dragged" narrative. The cop was doing typical pig stuff and acting like a huge snowflake after the fact. This is clearly a made up charge. They even threatened a reporter with arrest just for asking questions. The only good thing that hopefully comes from this is that we can ALL see how cops lie, overreach and try to ruin lives. This is seriously criminal on the cops part. Period.

Is there any clearer evidence that the police in this country are out of control. Think of all the people who have been arrested/detained with bogus charges because of a police officer's ego and power trip. Before the world of video, we were told encounters like this were isolated incidents, you don't hear that anymore, because incidents like this are commonplace. It's time for police reform, citizen oversight and limited qualified immunity. Until police officers are made to be personally responsible (like everyone else) for their actions, episodes like this will continue as police have no reason to stop bullying the citizens they swore an oath to serve and protect.

Where’s the “Just Comply” crowd
Is the body cam footage out yet?
I would never drive myself to the tournament if I were in his position.

I'm with you but most of them do
If i were players, i would just not play to make a point, this cop over reacted majorly no pun intended
It’s too early in the morning for this
Total misunderstanding from the cops
Meanwhile, someone died in an incident.
He should've followed police instructions 😂😂😂
It was a misunderstanding. The charges need to be dropped immediately and get Scottie back to the course, then put this misunderstanding behind everyone....
Don’t want to speculate and then they speculate. Awesome.
This is the same police force that killed brianna

@@joegalloway9011 There is undeniably a tyrannical culture in this police force. This is far from being their first unnecessary escalation of force.
These are the people who we got protecting us and don't even know who the number one golfer is in the world bunch of idiots😅😅😅
LMPD is a joke. Just last week three cops shot and killed a guy with a knife. If they thought Scheffler was using his car as a weapon, he's lucky to be alive.
Cop thought he was Harry Callahan jumping on MY car!
Might have been a good idea to stop when the cop told him to
can’t wait to buy an old row scottie mugshot shirt

IT JUST DROPPED
Why do you keep saying detained he was arrested after driving off with a cop attached after being told to stop. WHATS THE CONFUSION???
no one is above the law there was a fatality
Terrible job by the golf course and the cops.
Major cities were burned and vandalized during the BLM riots and the police stood by and watched. Scottie drives around a van on a wide shoulder and a cop loses his mind. 😂😂😂
Scotty needs to call Tiger for some advice on how to get out of this trap....
So the cop tell him to stop and he didn’t. He drive with the cop on the car for 10 yards. But he didn’t do anything wrong😂😂😂😂
It sounded like this cop that went after Scottie only arrested him to save face. Lets not forget there was a fatality that was tragically. Scottie got caught up in that traffic and this happened. Jeff Darlington did a badass job reporting on this. Micheal Collins, Americas favorite caddie reported other golfers and caddies werent having an issue getting into the course. Clearly this cop was on a power trip and is now trying to save face. Thats my gut reaction right now.

That's what happened. He probably won't back down on this either. Rather than admit he came unhinged, he'll lie to save his job. Either way, he should be fired.

@@Richard.Cabeza Amen that 2nd degree assault on a police officer is a felony charge believe it or not.
Please help me, the police didn't move out of the way when I was trying to get through?

Most PGA pros get courtesy cars to get back and forth from their hotels to the course…my nephew in law drives his own car to some pga events otherwise drives cars the tour provides when not playing in his hometown events.
Scottie should've been arrested and charged!

"NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW" So saying he's the number one golfer in the world DOES NOT MEAN CRAP to police officers and the LAW!!!!!
Cop made a mistake and refuses to admit it. Civil suit incoming.
