The Scott Bonnar 45 cylinder mower is a fast driver if you're rolling at full clutch. Conventional wisdom has always been to "feather the clutch" to control the ground speed and this works fine. The clutch cork is a consumable part of the mower, after all, and in practice feathering won't cause any damage.
