Scott Kelly Plays Neurosis' "Stones From the Sky" Acoustic at Crater Lake: No Distortion Ep. 2

Музыка

Earlier this year Neurosis' Scott Kelly took us to Oregon's Crater Lake, a volcanic caldera lake that draws travelers from around the world for its clear waters and intense blue color. It's a place that Kelly loves and regularly visits, drawn by its peacefulness and beauty. During our visit there, the singer-guitarist performed a solo unplugged rendition of "Stones From the Sky," a classic cut off his band's 2001 album A Sun That Never Sets. We present the performance here as episode 2 of our "No Distortion" series, which features heavy-music artists switching off their amps, stripping down songs and showcasing their more introspective side.

Maybe because Scott Kelly is a loathsome piece of s**t who abused his family physically, mentally, and financially to such a disturbing extent that the rest of Neurosis refuse to have anything to do with him anymore. But hey, I guess some people just can’t separate the art from the artist.

In another interview Scott said that his connection with Nature is where he receives most of his musical ideas for his contributions to Neurosis : - ) . Neurosis is such a special band that they own 4 riffs in my top ten list of most beautiful riffs all time. Dave Mustaine was 100% correct when he said that nothing else can touch heavy metal music as Heavy Metal is forever. And he said - " garbage like pop and rap music just comes and goes and can never last, but Heavy Metal is Forever. "' Timeless

Awesome music! Don't forget -- metal is/was popular music too. To say all pop culture is illuminati-manufactured is a little extreme. I don't disagree that there are lots of hands controlling what is and is not making money, and radio died long ago, but blanket generalizations are quite a fallacy. Truth will not be found in fallacies. Quite the opposite, usually. There's more to HipHop than pop culture: kzread.info/dash/bejne/rIKM2sZsqbyqkbA.html Cheers, my friend.

If you spent time listening to anything that "eye" sent you -- you would realize metal and rock are not the only musics to come from the psychedelic experience. It's actually quite interesting how you reference the "psychedelic plant era" like it's over... if anything it's grown. Yet, in pop culture, there was definitely an era for it. The same pop culture you detest, the same curated history provided by the illuminati that you loathe, is the very thing you reference as some moment of Truth in history that birthed some art that has never graced the earth before or after. You haven't once referenced anything that I shared, leaving me to believe that you aren't even conversing or caring. I can't go on with this back and forth if you blindly turn away from anything I have to share because you have faith that I must be wrong about everything. Nothing that you have said is news to me. You're not on to some big secret that the rest of us don't know (well, lots of folks don't know, I'll give you that). Elevate higher, respect, live on, keep learning. Until I can determine that you've listened to anything that I've shared with open eyes and an open mind I will quietly live out the rest of my time away from this discussion. Peace, my friend. P.S. not hiphop, not pop, but not rock or metal, either: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gIiTmcFpZsrHlKQ.html don't fear the blues

Neurosis is a band you do not listen to. If you're just listening you will never come close to getting it. Humans are afraid of facing all their pain, that endless deep well of ache within them. All their inner darkness that keeps them unconscious and blind. Afraid of facing all the lies of their thoughts. Neurosis is strictly a band that you must 'Surrender" to. You must fully surrender to the music. And purge purge purge, and purge some more. The ego-thinking mind is afraid of surrendering. As everything in the mind is a total lie. The Prison of the Mind. Do not fall into the trap of trying to understand Neurosis with your mind. Because you will never be able to understand them with your thinking mind. As thoughts can only operate in duality, and duality is total illusion in reality... Eye feel that Neurosis' album " A Sun that Never Sets" is the perfect starter album for someone new to Neurosis to experiment this with. Followed by their albums the eye of every storm and Times of Grace , to anyone new. Then later get into their heavier albums, as every Neurosis album is different. Neurosis has the ability to totally transform your ideas of what you believe music is. The real magical art of music. And Neurosis can broaden your horizons of creativity that you never knew existed. That are all far beyond words, and far beyond any concepts and far beyond any ideologies of the mind. Listen to Neurosis' entire discography over the next 3 to 6 months, alone, and fully let go, and fully surrender to it. Mold yourself into their music and let it seep into you deeply... honestly. Like when you see drops on a window on a rainy day, as the drops accumulate and mesh together and fall slowly, allow their music to fall slowly into you the same way. And more and more deeper, and don't let your thoughts get in the way. Do not think. The more pain you experience by surrendering to their music, the more healing you will receive with the many hidden teachings in the music, and "allow" it to flow through you. Because the immense beauty of the high consciousness of this band is far deeper than mere words, as lyrics are merely at the surface of images, and this magical band of beauty is far beyond any "images" . Truth is ALWAYS Paradoxical ;-) Raze The Stray ... Raze The Stray ... Raze The Stray ! ! Someone in another video said that they finally understood Neurosis by smoking some Hash. I did this years and years ago accompanied by 6 beers + Hash. LOL. Neurosis + Hash can break down anyone to the core. Honey oil hash with Neurosis is only for the bravest of the brave. It's definitely not at the powerful depths of Ayahuasca, but it's strong. Step by step by step by step, as we face all the lies of our thoughts. Add some good hash and Neurosis can totally deconstruct and dismantle you nicely. The only cures for pain is hidden perfectly deep within the pain (while everyone else in society avoids it). This is something they will never teach you in any school, or in any church. Nothing is more liberating than fully facing all your darkness deep within that is far beyond the mind of thoughts. The only path to the light is by fully facing all the emptiness and darkness within. Infinite teachings of bliss and beauty far beyond any words : - )

That is absolutely beautiful my friend !! Much love to you. I have been listening to heavy metal since the early 80's, and I have had tons of Direct spiritual experiences and was shown many things, and know what I am talking about. Check out other great bands like Blind Guardian that will help you grow spiritually like Neurosis will. Neurosis is a very special band that the infinite Universe respects and holds very highly. Check out the video titled " Metallica steals riff from Neurosis' .. I just wrote a comment on there that goes as follows- Metallica steals from everyone. They are a totally fake band, all the songs they're known for like One , nothing else matters, enter sandman and all the rest, are all stolen songs from other bands. There was a great article I read a couple of years ago where everything was laid out in great detail in pinpoint accuracy song-by-song, how everything about metallica is 100% fake. Always remember that metallica started out as a cover band, in the beginning when they were touring clubs, they were covering unknown bands , and metallica never told the crowds that all the songs they were playing were songs from other bands. They acted as if they were their own songs while they were playing full songs from other bands. And nothing ever changed with metallica, as later on instead of flat out covering full songs and claiming it their own, they stole bits and pieces from other bands to claim it as their own. Metallica has always been a cover band, nothing more. Slayer is another fake band , aside from 2 songs they have, which are quite good, the rest is simple riff stuff with no ingenuity whatsoever, they and nothing special, and they also copied alot of material from other bands. That's why I laugh when people say the Top 4 bands are metallica, slayer, anthrax and megadeth . The only band that deserves the honor of being in the top 5 or whatever, is megadeth. The rest don't belong and never belong there. Anthrax is a total joke and don't even belong in the top 50 , nevermind being considered top 4 .. Far more deserving bands and FAR more talented bands like Testament and Death and Iron Maiden and Neurosis deserve to be considered top 4 in heavy metal. ( I do not care about categorizing in "thrash" metal , because heavy metal is heavy metal , all because it's a faster drum beat and you call it "thrash" does not make a difference to me) None of the aforementioned bands like metallica and anthrax and slayer can come close to writing songs with meaning and beauty as those bands I mentioned. Not even close. Notice how many comments people have in Neurosis and Testament and Death videos, how their music has totally changed their life for the better, how it connected them spiritually on very deep levels.. But you never see such comments for metallica and anthrax and slayer videos, because those bands are shallow and fake. Listen to older rock bands that speak about the illusion of time, and alchemy of sacred plants, and also your divine 7-chakras in their songs. As well as talking about the countless lies of the "I" as who you think you are is total illusion (just as Corrosion of conformity does so well through their discography). Those 4 things are vital, and when you do you will find beautiful Spiritual music from bands like Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Death, Isis, Neurosis, Tool, and Queensryche, as well as softer magical bands like Pink Floyd etc, that is speaking to Soul (not the ego-mind) ;-) . Fake bands like Pantera and the ac/dc's of the world cannot touch these bands. And stay away from "Nu metal" bands and 'commercial bands like the Limp Bizkit's of the world and the Papa Roach's of the world. It's total society garbage about the blind ego-mind, or about labeling and blaming (like pathetic pop diva's and eminem who are always labeling and blaming in stupidity of victim consciousness), and "victim consciousness" nonsense that doesn't serve you in any way. A band like "Blind Guardian" for example is loaded with beautiful Spiritual truths in their music catalog. It's very deep so you have to look beyond what people tell you what the songs mean. Don't follow "labels" of what other people say the songs mean as the mind can only label things at the surface of images and is blind, as these songs all mean YOU in many deep ways that the left-brain thinking ego mind of thought cannot see or understand. In one of my Ayahuasca ceremonies after total surrender of the ego as I surpassed the illusions of death, eye was given the sword of light from the Universe. The sword of Light came through me in magical beauty as I was downloaded massive amounts of knowledge love and wisdom through my heart chakra. This magical sword is far beyond how you see a sword in a picture in the illusions of images as this sword is multi-dimensional as I became "one" with the sword, the sword was me and I was the sword, as ONE in infinite beauty and magic in the 5th dimension of Consciousness. The sword of Light is only to be used for love and light and becoming in full awareness of my Soul purposes and missions on this planet to help awaken humanity out of the countless illusions of human society. Not a sword that can ever be used to harm anyone or anything. And through that experience I was taken back to Blind Guardian's "Somewhere Far Beyond" album that I listened to as a young man in the early 1990's, and Mother Ayahuasca showed me that Blind Guardian album cover and she said to me: " You see Robert, You have always been one of the chosen ones of Light, and you will always be one of the chosen ones of Light" .. and she showed me what a sword really means (that has absolutely nothing to do with what silly humans think a sword means as the blind human mind takes everything beautiful and sacred and twists it in countless lies).. Blind Guardian's "Somewhere Far Beyond" album cover is an Ayahuasca circle, with the Shaman playing Ayahuasca icaro's at the top through some kind of flute in the shape of an Ayahuasca vine on his chest, the flute at the bottom pointing to the light at the center of the circle. And he's elevated above everyone else sitting on a stool and wearing a crown (not just a hood like the others). And he also has a condor sitting on his shoulder (the highest flying bird that also has the ability to shift between Spiritual dimensions). In Ayahuasca art you will see the condor depicted quite often, and for infinite good reasons. Ayahuasca is the oldest and purest, and is by far the most effective form of Spiritual practice on the planet. Nothing could be more obvious as you listen to that album ;-) I so clearly remember as a child listening to heavy metal during the 1980's, & entire worlds opened up for me, bands such as Iron Maiden, Testament and other great bands such as "Death" and Queensryche ( "Roads To Madness" by Queensryche for example is an Eternal Spiritual Truths classic), etc. A little later on in the early 1990's I got into the beauty of Blind Guardian with their beautiful album 'Somewhere Far Beyond". So many beautiful things that fake bands like metallica and ac/dc could never come close to offering. I never understood when people would tell me that Heavy Metal music is far too heavy to get into and too overwhelming. I always laughed, since I was a child, how people would tell me that this isn't music, but only loud cannons firing. I ALWAYS laughed as they tried so hard to sway me, but could never sway me an inch. From family members to friends to pathetic pastors in churches (and let me tell you that you will NEVER find more fake people on the planet than fear-monger pastors and priests in churches), as nobody hates our beautiful Mother Earth and Nature and divides people's more with hatred than pastors in churches, and they mostly hate themselves. And I never once cared for their blind and pathetic opinions, I always laughed hysterically inside. I always laughed hysterically how they couldn't "get it." . Because to me, when listening to heavy metal, it was always a blissful sweet symphony of beauty ! For me, it was always so soft, and wonderful, so welcoming, and Magical !! I feel so sorry for the humans that have no capability to ever understand the beauty of real heavy metal music, because heavy metal has so many beautiful Spiritual messages from the infinite Universe that the blind ego-based mind of duality is afraid to see, and afraid to understand. Mother Ayahuasca showed me in infinite ways how Heavy Metal music was so vital and so beautiful in so many magical ways for my Spiritual growth. And this magical band of beauty, Blind Guardian, was absolutely Massive and monumental for my Spiritual journey of the Universe of be-ing and infinite truths of beauty of Light and Spirit. ;-) .. Mother Ayahuasca showed me how my Soul always chose the right bands and the right music, far beyond my mind. Intuitively I knew it all along... but my goodness Mother Ayahuasca showed me so many deep Spiritual truths in deeper ways of infinite understandings of Spirit, that the blind ego-mind that lives in the illusion of time and the illusions of duality, is totally incapable of understanding..

You should also get into Anilah- kzread.info/dash/bejne/hKlkkpasirDXmsY.html If you want a woman rocker who is seriously awake and massively connected to Nature Spirit, who writes deep and beautiful music of SOUL, as she has had many ceremonies with Entheogen plants such as Ayahuasca and Psilocybin and San Pedro. There are many interviews with her talking how she gets her music from Nature, as all the Gods are in Nature as everything in Nature is multi-dimensional as everything in Nature is connected to the heavenly realms. Notice that ALL those bands I talked about in my last post have a very strong respect for Nature, and also have a deep respect for Native Tribal people's who were ONE with Nature Spirit and held all the true Spiritual knowledge. For example, check out Testament's " Native Blood" music video. They talked about their love of Nature in multiple interviews. You're a fan of Tool and see how Justin Chancellor lives in Nature in a recent video, and how he said he shuts off his mind to connect. ALL those bands like Iron Maiden, Testament, Chuck Schuldiner of Death, Tool, Isis, Death, Neurosis, Anilah, Corrosion of Conformity, Blind guardian, Queensryche etc , have ALL spoken extensively in interviews of their love of Nature. ALL of them. Chuck Schuldiner's mother always talked about her son how he was so connected to Nature. That's how he wrote such a magical album like " Symbolic" .. listen to that album deeply, it's beautiful and magical ;- ) ALL those bands talk about their love of nature and talked about their respect for native and aboriginal tribal people's.. ALL of them ! That is the common denominator to all great and true creativity. The more connected to Nature, the deeper and more beautiful the creativity and Art !! ;-)
