Your analogy of bringing a cat to the house was correct. I once entrusted a neighbor to petsit my 21 year old cat. On the day I returned home, she came over and told me how well it went. But she was carrying her small yappy dog, and she told me how she had brought the dog over to my place and would let it 'interact' with my cat. It would bark and lunge at my elderly cat. I was furious. Here's this 21 year old cat that needed to trust that its territory was safe. Plus it didn't need to have a heart attack.

I wholeheartedly agree with having anxiety riding with others vs driving my own car. I always equate it to feeling trapped. I'm a nutcase about being or even just feeling trapped.

I always enjoy listening to y'all! I can relate to the riding with someone else thing! I had rather be able to leave a place when I am ready to go home!

I trust no one. No key to my house, not watching my dog, not driving my car, no way, no how. If I have to go somewhere, I drive myself so I can leave when I want which might be 5 minutes after I get there if the party or whatever sucks. Definitely wouldn't trust you three in my house. Scott would be smoking his filthy, smelly cigars, Mark would be raiding my refrigerator & spilling his drinks all over, & George, who knows? He always looks like he's up to something anyway.

You guys need to have a show, or two, that includes the wives/sig others.

Trust is earned, not given away.

They are capable of making you *feel* they are trustworthy. Basically I'm telling you that it's impossible to know, so it's ridiculous to say someone "earned" your trust. You still "give away" your trust, you just want them to help you *feel* better about it lol
