Scott Baio's Take On Life Episode 8 Driving
Ойын-сауық
Some people love to drive while others are fearful; especially in a big city. Lack of courtesy on the road is becoming more common. Why doesn’t Scott want to drive with his wife, Renee? What the hell is filmmaker, Mark Jones’, “square of safety”? Why does a simple wave diffuse potential road rage? Watch the new episode of Scott Baio’s Take On Life, and see why driving can drive you crazy…

I don’t usually say this about anyone famous but i could actually hangout with Scott! He’s smart and down to earth and has common sense! I haven’t disagreed with anything he says which is rare! Sooo refreshing!
Had to come back to👍and leave a comment. Driving is too stressful in Austin. Tx
This is gold! So relateable
I saw Scott on Fox News a few months ago talking about how he loved living in Florida and the people were much nicer there. He had (has) a huge house in LA so I thought he would have sold it. Maybe he still works in California sometimes? Wish they would do a podcast on that subject.

I thought he moved out of California?
You hit the nail on the head on a couple of counts. The left turn is a pet peeve of mine. If you break the plane of the intersection, i.e., cross the stop line, but have to wait for opposing traffic, you have the right of way to make your turn after the light turns red. It plucks my nerves people that go that far into the intersection. The light turns red, and they then back up to get behind the stop line again, instead of just turning.
When turning Left choose the lane closest to you .....When Turning Right choose the lane closest to you...... Now people at the light can keep traffic flowing Thats what I learned and it's the law in my state.
I'm a woman from Massachusetts. I got followed and harassed by someone I accidentally cut off after a torrential downpour where I lost a windshield wiper on the highway. I was so frazzled by the time I got to my destination where he followed me to and I snapped on the guy so bad when he pulled up next to me in the parking lot I scared the shit out of him. I out raged the road rager!! LMAO
I hate being late, always early
Same thing has happened in metro Atlanta. A friend of mine moved here from Michigan about 30 years ago and one she called me to tell me about somethings that happened while she had been driving since she had relocated. Traffic was bad and she was trying to turn into it and another driver waved her into the traffic. Also, she noticed people using their turn signals and being let into a lane. She told me that never happened up in Michigan. Unfortunately, now, there is virtually no curtesy on the roads here. I rarely get on the highways anymore because of the excessively aggressive drivers and it’s not much better on the secondary roads.
I agree with you Scott, I almost got side swiped this morning because someone was in a hurry. Thank God, I avoided them and swerved away from the car
I thought Scott lives in Florida

must have made these before he moved
George, that was a really interesting comment about pedestrians being king in L.A. I grew up in Chicago, and the cars are king out there. I like it the Chicago way.
Today’s talk gave me anxiety thinking of CA traffic which is a one major reason I left. 😅

Most people leave LA due to the politics and the exorbitant cost of living

@@TheSmartLawyeryes!! That is the truth!! That’s why I mentioned “traffic” being ONE of the reasons. 😉
Thanks for answering my question Scott. Have you thought about having a "Guest Smoker" ?
I'm born in Brooklyn and Italian ,miss Brooklyn days ,I'm 64
Can't stand people driving and using your phone. It is crazy!! See it all the time here in AL.

no different than seeing people on the highway reading the newspaper and drinking a cup of coffee.
YES!!! I was turning into a left turn, on my side of the road and someone coming from the opposite direction crossed the DOUBLE YELLOW LINE, into my lane and we almost had a head-on collision. He then yelled at me as if it was my fault!!
Thanks for sending Texas all your rude/crappy drivers!!!
Hi guys!!
When u live in Long Island or Queens u get road rage!! But in these times u have to be careful, there nuts out there !!
Scott, remember the beginning of the movie, "L.A. Story."
You always gotta watch out for the cars that never signal before backing out or pulling through. And folks who walk right as you’re pulling out of the lot. That really irks me.
Nobody Really Cuts off Scott Baio, He is "in Charge" 😂 Gen Z and many Millennials have no clue. 😂
Can you guys do an episode on the cigars you’re smoking?

NYC has better drivers for chrissakes
Every time I watch this stuff I cannot believe that we’re having the same exact thing happening. I mean I grew up or I’m sure we’re about the same age it’s got to be that we’re about the same age. In my little town and this is not a big town. It’s got a few job offerings around here, but you usually have to go to a big city. I was just on a 20 mile an hour back road in a subdivision, and somebody whipped past me to go up towards the main street that had a light and flipped me off And I’m a very good driver and I know if the person behind me is pushing that I’m either to get out of the way or go a little faster I didn’t do a damn thing to that guy the same exact day a little later a redheaded woman cut me off in a parking lot in which I had my office building at the time And I owned a business back then and she flipped me off and I’m like what is wrong with these 3040-year-olds what’s going on here so disrespectful and they weren’t obviously I can’t even say I blame their parents. I think this is his mentality that I owe everybody something I don’t owe a shit and thing I’ve worked my whole life I’ve helped provide for my family and help my parents out when I was young and I’m a very talented person artistically and it just I have so much to offer in society and positive works That I am just totally blown away with people having the audacity to raise their middle finger at me because I cut them off or something and I I truly believe I didn’t cut anybody off. I think it was just somebody that wanted me to move out of their way because they were going faster on a one lane I mean we’re both gonna stop at the light right nobody’s going anywhere what’s the hurry that you got a flip me off to get past me just doesn’t make sense one time a guy actually an emerging lane wanted to be in front of me and one of those Dodge chargers the ones that look like the old ones that are out now and he actually showed me the silhouette of a gun after he got in front of me and I had one of my boys with me and they’re in their 30s and he was like all mom. I can’t believe that guy gonna threaten to shoot you because he wanted to get in front of your truck yeah, I drive a truck and I was like wowshocking right so many miles down in interstate. We pull over to get gas and that guy at the same place in My Son went over there I’m like please don’t do anything he’s got a gun lol.
Yeeessss! Always do a wave of thanks.
“ I’m a good driver, but I want to get where I’m going”. lol. That is me!
Haha 😂 Square of Safety, sounds like the cone of silence 😂😂 Scott's a funny guy.. If people actually knew the Catastrophic and lethal nature of Driving, extremely dangerous, there would be no road rage and we'd all be safer no matter where, here in Ohio or in Southern California.
The sound is much better this show, was too low & a bit muffled in previous ones
I’m in China, you guys have no idea what type of hell exists while driving
This is like watching Happy Days..Dull as *uck.
Scott I thought you moved to FL. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

he likely has his primary residence as florida for tax purposes and lives in los angeles part time much like shaq and other athletes
it's as bad here in NC. except now people have resorted to shooting in road rage. I drive to get where I'm going but will not engage a rager. Not worth it. I say we need a federal HANDS FREE law behind the wheel. Put the damn phone down .
Ok Scott. Maybe not a topic for a room full cigar smoking guys but I am going to ask anyway. KZread just brought up on my suggestions an old promo clip from 1983 for the upcoming Saturday Morning Cartoons. You were the host of a Dance Club in Hazzard County and had to deal with Boss Hogg and Roscoe P. Coletrain lol So I wanted to ask...What do you remember about that filming that promo? What was it like working with James Best and Sorrell Booke? And the most important question...what was your favorite Saturday Morning cartoon? I loved the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon that was showcased in your promo.
I think almost everyone thinks they're a great driver, and everyone else is the problem.
You said you live in LA..I thought you moved to FL? Is this podcast old?

He lives in FL now
🚬😎 dude .
Why live in LA? Too crazy there. Put a blindfold on your wife while your driving 😅
" I'm a good driver". . . "I tailgate". WTF
Illegal courtesies.🙄😐 🤯🤨
You're from NY & I'm from NJ. As you know, defensive driving in these here parts is inherent at birth. Tell that to your wife who is constantly gasping in horror while you're driving.
The guy who lived in a gated community in liberal enclave Calabasas is criticizing entitlement. Ah, the irony.
Smoking is bad for ya! Stop smoking it's not cool
Aggressive , not defensive driving is a breakdown of civil society and common sense. The square of safety will be a great awareness tool for me, but Scott doesn't sound open to it . Good to know👉
