I've thought before that I should commit myself to an order. Glad I'm not the only one to think of it. When looking for 3+ card 15s, I tend to look for groups that add up to five or ten, rather than just adding up straight. Like in your example from the video, my brain goes 2+3=5, 6+4=10, that's a 15.

It’s funny how people’s brains look at math differently. I often add from lowest to highest and don’t group like that. So cool!

I always do my runs first. Then my 15’s. Because most common runs are 8. Unless you get a ten run. All without the 15’s. Easier for me.

first time I heard of the flush rule about cribs needing a 5 card flush to qualify and a 4 card flush in your hand must occur before getting the starter card if it matches the suit. I've been doing it wrong all this time!

I didn't know the rules either until I started playing seriously. It's so rare! And some programs do get it wrong!

6663 is 12 points! 6A-6B-3 for 15. 6A-6C-3 for 15. 6B-6C-3 for 15. Three of a kind is 6. That’s 12!

four of a kind or double pairs royal (double royal pair) is worth 12 points.

Counting IRL I slow down and count clumsily, people are watching. My phone doesn't judge and I go, yep, that's 12. Need more people time, I guess.

Yeah, I'd recommend practicing on your own, with casual players, or online before getting too much into competitive play. In my experience, most people are patient and understanding, but some people can be super rude.
