Simon Winchester's Krakatoa is absolutely 'briliant', I loved it to bits. Likewise his book, 'Atlantic'. I have his Pacific on my tbr pile and a couple of others on my Kindle. I've added this vid to my favourites as I really don't read enough science books and this is a good list of suggestions. Thank you!

I’ll have to prioritise Krakatoa in the near future. I’m glad you found the video helpful. I love reading science books and talking about them.
