Ryan, I didn’t learn from my cervical herniation but years later, the chronic debilitating pain with sciatica and weak low back may have just woke my butt up for good. (Literally lost my left glute & didnt realize it. Its back tho!) I used your program and have been sciatica free (minus 2 days) for over 6 months. The biggest thing I’ve learned is, if I forget everything Ive learned, fall back into my old habits of movement & strain my back, I must not repeat the old patterns of laying in bed, ROTTING. The paraspinals are infiltrated with fat and I think I read that is irreversible. Despite all that, yesterday I rode my bicycle. Its been over a year since I last could do that. I walk mindfully in the back yard 4x’s a day for at least 15 mins timed with my dogs. I couldn’t walk last year. I take the breathing you taught me into EVERY activity I do. So many habits being broken. Im thankful for the pain, thankful for your program, now I am empowered. Just turned 50, I’m very optimistic this me can find her way through anything. Thank you Ryan and Core Balance team! 👣🌈🦋

Been waiting for this video! I had a microdiscectomy done on my L4-L5, L5 S1 but I’ll never do that again. Did absolutely nothing but fix short term sciatica pain I had :( Would rather find a more sustainable, long term solution.

Hi Abel, thank you for sharing your experience! Our program is aimed at providing a long-term solution by addressing the root causes of sciatica. It focuses on aligning the body, creating more space in the spinal canal, and alleviating pain associated with sciatica. If you're open to it, we offer a free 7-day trial of our program. Feel free to check it out and see if it might be a good fit for you. We'd love to help! 😊

Thank you for posting! A microdiscectomy was just suggested to me yesterday following a review of my MRI. I haven't tried any other therapy yet.

@@Becki545 yeah to be fair I would look at other ways of resolving the disc bulge issue. It can literally be something simple as your pelvis misaligned or your hips causing your spine to to twist thus the disc bulging. (At least that’s my case). Hope this helps!

@@Abelmags5 That's so interesting, thank you! I've been waiting awhile for PT, which is next week, so that should be a good start in looking at the big picture.

@@Becki545 oh yeah 100%. After the microdiscectomy, the surgeon gave me a script for physical therapy for my lower back and once I started doing the exercises the PT said “I think the problem is coming from your hip” and my mouth dropped lmao every doctor was focused on my low back instead of looking for the root issue.

I'd be interested in your thoughts on chemical irritation of nerve roots as opposed to mechanical compression. It is my understanding that with DDD it is possible to have numerous annular tears that allow inflammatory proteins from the disc nucleus to reach the highly innervated annulus fibres and even the actual nerve root. My doctor thinks this may be causing my sciatica and wants to do a discogram to try to prove it as well as a therapeutic steroid injection. I'm not sure. I have been doing modules 1 and 2 in your core balance training for 3 months now but so far cannot get rid of the sciatica.
