Schuyler Knobloch & Overstreet - Baby's Got A New Baby
Музыка
Here's a track from (Thom) Schuyler, (Fred) Knobloch, & (Paul) Overstreet. It reached #1 on the Billboard Country chart in 1987 (MTM 73081) and was one of three singles released from an album titled "S-K-O". This trio only released one album before Paul Overstreet left to pursue a solo career.

Real country , It doesn't get much better than this.
I have a,ways liked this song. It s easy listening. And Paul Overstreet is singing. He never got the star status he needed

I don't believe it's Paul Overstreet singing the lead vocal. Fred Knoblock singing lead.

Songs like this makes me want to go back to the 80"s so bad what a great time it was I miss so much.
I can listen to this over n over again n not get tired of it😊
One of my all time favorite songs. What they call country today doesn't come close to songs like this. It's too bad this group didn't stay around long because they harmonized so well together.
one of the best song of my time.
Sometime in mid 90s I worked at a record store in the mall. I had never heard of SKO, but noticed Paul Overstreets face on the cover of this cassette in the bargain bin, so I bought it. I wore out that tape, great stuff.
I told this on Paul Davis' site. Got a call 1 afternoon and it was Paul Overstreet from a fishing boat, way off somewhere and the nicest person you'd ever meet. Loved him so much. Wish I knew where he was now, what he is doing.
Heard this today. Absolutely love it
Another awesome song with that great, unique 80's country sound! I never get tired of listening to this one. S-K-O/S-K-B may have been a short lived group, but they released some of my most favorite songs from that decade.
i love many songs almost all from the decade by the 80s ....but this song is one of my favorite all of the time.Unforgetable years......

My friend i do not know what to say?Things changed dramatically in the music scene the last seven years i do not want to open the radio,i hear only the old music (70s-80s & 90s)In 1982 -83-84 was very nice years in music and not only....since 1979 and until 1987,88 appeared in music very nice names with very good business (albums and songs)Αs for all those guys and girls who come out in recent years and they say they are artist and singers....better to go to wash dishes.

The 80s was definitely a phenomenon time in country music. Now the music in country (or so it's called) is just garbage. Very sad indeed
Back when country was good
Another of the excellent songs from this great album by S-K-O. Fred Knobloch's soulful voice makes this song memorable, and the group harmonizes so well too! Thanks, KSMusicGeeks for posting this great song!
I still have the recorded version off the radio station on cassette.. it's so great to hear.. thxs for the post.
wish Nashville still made country music like this

Country went more CHRish in 1990's. The 1980's was more of a AC styled Country trend
@fordman2698

@@donmccullen1973 I never saw any CHR in 90s Country, but I agree with you that 80s and early-90s was more of an AC style. AC also kind of went CHRish in the 90s, so I could see how you think Country did the same. Personally, I like the Country/AC blend the best. Late-70's Country also had quite a bit of AC influence as well, eh?

There is so much good music held down by hollyweird that fails to meet up to their agenda. If you probe around KZread, you'll find some bands that will surprise you. Foxes & Fossils being one of those bands. Another group that I like that sounds like they come out of the late 60's with new and original music, called The Explorers Club.
i think i lived this song back in the big 80s.oh,well,its the 2010s and i am glad to say i m not living it anymore.i am all alone!
From the lyrics to the instrumentals this song is just great!!! I’ve just sat and listened to the guitar work back when a mixture of lead and steel guitar ruled country.
garth will never reach this type of country music!

This song talks to my heart with a beautiful easy listening tune. I am a fan of classic country from 1945-1995- don’t care for todays “country” . Paul Overstreet has a beautiful voice ( remember BOP??)

OMG what a great song have looked for years for this song and now i have found it what a great group and a great song brings back the old times
Loved this song when it came out. Ironically, this song predicted what would happen in my real life. Oh well, still like the song. 🙂
Was in Leipers Fork, Tennessee, on the outskirts of Franklin, Tennessee and happened upon Pucketts Grocery Store. We went in for dinner and they asked us if we were staying for the show. We said....Sure! Sounds fun! What a treat we had.....Fred Knobloch on stage! What a talented man and just as funny! Thank you Fred and Pucketts!
Cool Music
One of the best country songs ever. Country lost it's soul a couple of decades ago. I don't play that Taylor Swift crap.
Fred Knobloch is such a great songwriter! I love his little tongue-in-cheek touch he adds to a lot of his songs while still ripping out your every nerve of heart and emotion!
I used to hear this on the radio 20+ years ago as a child. Thanks for bringing back the memories! :)
I think this song is a great hit in its time
This is one catchie tune, can't get it out of my head. Sounds like he's got a runaround girlfriend; thats whats great about country songs they all got a real life story.
I really like this song and I was 11 years old when this song was released as a single.

Baby's been coming home wearing a smile Dressing up and buying all the latest styles She never looked better everyone agrees But when we get alone I know something's wrong And it's worrying me Baby's acting strange lately I think baby's got a new baby See through her disguise Something's in her eyes She's afraid to tell me Baby's coming home later Going places I would never take her Baby's got a new baby And it ain't me Baby's been talking bout a place of her own It's funny cause she never likes being alone Drifting and drifting farther apart while we sleep If I could read her mind Who would I find When she starts dreaming Baby's acting strange lately I think baby's got a new baby See through her disguise Something's in her eyes She's afraid to tell me Baby's coming home later Going places I would never take her Baby's got a new baby and it ain't me It ain't me that baby really loves It ain't me that baby's dreaming of Baby's acting strange lately I think baby's got a new baby See through her disguise Something's in her eyes She's afraid to tell me Baby's coming home later Going places I would never take her Baby's got a new baby And it ain't me

Great country song! Great harmony!
Great Song! Yeah I am probably one of the only people under 30 who likes 70s and 80s Country, but I think it is more relevant to how I feel in my life. I also like it because my dad and my late-grandpa used to play it in the truck a lot, and now I like classic Country probably more than my dad does. I miss the good old days when "today's Country" was actually good.It is disappointing to me that today's Country music is not in the same fashion as it used to be . . . I don't even know that I would call today's music "Country", it is more like a mix between Country and Rhap: Crap. Paul, we need you to put Country music back in order. Nobody, not even my mom, understands why I like the old stuff, but it is because I can relate to what those people are saying. I heard this song on a recording of Bob Kingsley's countdown from early-87, and I have listened to it over and over again since then.

I'm 25. I have listened to this old country since I was about 10 years old. My (great) grandfather is to thank for it. I am so glad and fortunate I was able to spend so much time with him as I was growing up and being exposed to the old sound of these awesome songs. They are SO underappreciated and most people don't even know this music exists. This particular era of mid to late 80's country is so unknown and not sought after. I honestly don't get it. This song is just one awesome example of what a great era it was.
Great song
Thank you....awesome song...big fan of Paul Overstreet and of SKO...didn't care for SKB, "Ain't No Easy Horses"
I have this vinyl record in my collection
On Mary Tyler Moore' s record label. Miss you ,Mary!

Great song. Just bought this album new unwrapped from a old radio station in CA also got the No Easy Horses album too. Pretty much all the songs are nice vintage country. Love it. These albums are very hard to fined as well as the cassettes. They never had a CD made that I know of.
