This song is awesome. It's amazing that she had 3 singles before her debut album and none of those songs were included on the LP when it was finally released. Even these songs seemed to have gotten more airplay than she did after being Blacklisted from Country Radio by the end of 1991. Still ticks me off how she was treated. Her 1992 Album "Getting It Dunn" that she spent two years producing should have been her biggest to date. Radio totally snubbed it, and promotion from her record label was seriously lacking as well. Still one of the best album's by any artist in my vast collection.

Loved this lady so much. I hated how Nashville and Country Radio treated her. She should have been one of the biggest Stars of the era.

Early days, this really doesn't sound all that much like Holly here. Her voice is different. I actually had heard this before. I don't remember where. "You" I hadn't heard before. I think I saw her perform this live on TV at some point. Thanks much for posting this and the other two singles that were left off her debut album.

I love this song! One of my favorites. If it wasn't as popular as you say, it wasn't a single, I don't think. It was one of those beautiful gems on her album where most went for the hits on it. But the song is still one of her best.

Someone below called her a One Hit Wonder, not true. She had 15 songs that charted. She did change genres; switched to Country and then to Christian

We used to publish it ,, got it placed with John Boylan , Mickey's producer... Gilley wouldn't add it to his Epic records greatest hits package.. but eventually it became his opening number at Branson and while touring . We love country songs ..

It's a shame that this song wasn't a bigger hit in 1990, this is so much better than a lot of big country hits at the time. Maybe the slow tempo and more folk music sound to it just made it a tough song to catch on widely, but this one is such a wonderful tune!

Great Song. Great Singer. A message worth listening to also. There are many ways to break one's heart concerning love besides cheating.....so many. There are boundaries...once crossed you may very well feel the deep cuts. Music should minister to us,as well,as just sound pleasing to our ears.
