I love that Julius is so convinced of his own raconteur skills that he _wouldn’t dream_ of just saying, “I can make that inquiry go away”. No no! He has to - _has to!_ - DEMONSTRATE his point… before saying what his point is. Just one more brilliantly conceived and acted character, in a show chock full of them.

I do feel like Alex Macqueen doesn't get enough credit for the precision priggishness he shows in this role. Every scene with Malcolm you ask yourself "surely this man is the exact opposite of Malcolm; he'll destroy him", and gloriously he never does, which actually makes it a far better relationship to watch.

His best schemes were: 1) sending Nicola Murray to stand in front of the Liam Bentley sign, spelling "I am Bent" behind her, so she was in a position where he could force her to choose between making her husband quit his job or her daughter going to public school; 2) Telling Steve Flemming that Nicholson's report would be unfavourable to him, knowing he'd go and meet Julius, calling his partiality into question; 3) Nicola's aid being photographed with the 'bat people' notes.

@@britishnerd3919 He's actually a brilliant Master - and as of a more recent Audio, confirmed to be the first to be directly resurrected by the Time Lords. Well. Sort of. Technically he's resurrected by three of his other incarnations with their tacit consent. His Past "Bruce" Self, from the TV Movie, The "War Master" (The Incarnation played by Derek Jackobi, but set before he erased his own memories as seen Utopia) and "Missy", his future female incarnation. The War Master is revealed to have arranged it on the instructions of his superiors, in order to ensure his own eventual emergence and participation in the Time War. The Story in which he obtains that extra regeneration cycle is an entire box set in and of itself. So the master's "Corpse" Regenerates into this new incarnation. This incarnation of the Master actually existed in the Audios for about 5 years in real time, before they did this "Multi-Master" Story. His Regeneration and emergence was actually something of an unexpected twist. He's a wonderful Master. Vicious, cruel, and intelligent in a frightening way. Most of his Stories involve the 8th Doctor, and he's generally paired with him (In the same way that Delgado is paired with 3, Crispy Master with 4, Ainley with 5, Simm with 10, and Missy with 12.) But he pops up in a few others too.

I've always wondered whether Malcolm went over to Julius's house or Julius came over to Malcolm's, with the food. Malcolm wears a wedding ring throughout season 3, but we never see Mrs Tucker in the domestic scenes. She wasn't around when Malcolm was hosting the lunch for the press people at his home...so i assumed she must have been at work or smth. But Julius meets Malcolm at night...when she could have been home. Now I know that Malcolm doesn't have a wedding ring in season 4, which means they must have seperated between s3 and s4. So were they already living apart in season 3?? Or was she around and we just didn't see her in the show?

Or maybe its not an Easter egg( as they say in the filming industry) and it may just be an inconsistentsy. Maybe Peter just left his ring on and off.In an interview somewhere, Peter sometimes had to take off the ring.

I assumed they were at No10 or some government offices. The line "come back here" backs that up.

They're at number 10 in this scene and the lack of Malcolm's family goes to show how dedicated to his job he is and how he keeps his family out of the press

The ring is just Peter's thing, he never wears it off. Even in Doctor Who he had it on throughout the entire series

As a former day boy at a public school myself, can confirm that we are not real public school boys. Just a handful of local peasants they let in to make the school look "grounded". If you are good at chasing a giant egg around a muddy field, it helps.

Really? Maybe the one I went to was just very progressive, but usually there was no "class" difference between day/boarding. It was just what was easier. A cunt was a cunt, day boy or not
