Superb job putting this together Flight Channel! If I were aboard the aircraft and witnessed the wings FLEX as you have depicted I'd have to change my under garments! Holy Smoke!!! Such realism with the lightning flashes and the miserable storm. Excellent, excellent work. Thank you.

When you take off from Sint Marten, you either go left or right straight after takeoff, you don't go over the hill.

It's usually a hard right turn immediately after takeoff and he should have raised the gear much sooner. Also the flapping wings was very unrealistic.

@@Ba_A There is some wing flex in real life flying through turbulence although a commercial aircraft would never intentionally fly into extreme conditions and would route around the severe storm cells. I think the point to be made is we can recreate scenarios and fly them from our desktop to see if structural damage would occur or if it was theoretically possible to take off in a 747 in a hurricane.

And to be honest this weather is super unrealistic as well... The winds was too strong... The plane it self would of been dragged across the airport while on park

a pleasant and smooth flight there I see! Very well executed. I've been upfront on a few of these nastier weather condition days (mainly around HK and J-Berg on the 747-4 but we keep the AP and AT off for at least the first 10K of the initial climbs

i think that nearly every flight simmer out there took advantage of flying with Irma..including me..hehe..wing flex for most planes would have been crazy..i tried it in a C-208 all i had to do was to point the plane in the direct of wind and UP UP & AWAY...blew me right out to sea..lol..very nice presentation..liked it

those winds blows the pitot tubes away (look at the airspeed ind when take off roll). Good flight Capt.

The airspeed indicator went CRAZY!

I once flew from LAX to Vegas during those Santa Ana, (50+mph) winds. It was like an 8.0 earthquake the whole way. A gust of wind pushed our jet off the runway path only 300 feet off the ground. The pilot put the plane in full power and we spent another 20 minutes circling for another try. We made it obviously.

I used to make the skeleton structure for the wings in Everett and Arlington WA and you'd be surprise how flexible those wings can be but this is ridiculous lol Edit: Also I used to refurbish all of Southwest/Jet Blues 747's and 787's

Great Graphics. Please start using VNAV. 1. More efficient 2. Safer (No speed protection in V/S) 3. That's one of the things the developers have worked very hard on. You may as well be flying a default aircraft. 4. Easier than using V/S

By the way I watched this at my school because my teacher was nice enough to let us do whatever we wanted on the computers for 10 minutes after we finished a concussion survey because it is concussion awareness week.
