That's easy....it's because they didn't know, imagine the shit storm that would have rained down on that show and the Network if they knowingly allowed a rapist/peado/killer onto the show. There was no Internet then and, everything on a person was held in a file made of paper. There was no easy way to access such info quickly and, unless a person watching the program knew who this bloke was and his past he could pretty easily ''slip'' onto the show. Even with today's technology, evil bastards/bitches are still able to commit crime after crime after crime, before being apprehended. Thankfully this young woman followed her gut feelings and refused to go on the scheduled date. I loved watching (when I was old enough to know what was going on) The Dating Game growing up, even though I wasn't even old enough to date until it was in syndication lol. I was only 4 when it first aired lol.

Oh WHOA! I remember that blue light. I walked up the subway steps leading to my apt in Brooklyn. When I got to the street level….everyone was just stopped on the street staring straight ahead, like a zombie movie. That freaked me out, cuz NY is always on the move. Then, I look UP ahead & the sky was bright aqua blue!! It was beautiful but scary. I didn’t hear the explosion, possibly because I was underground (crossing under E.River).

Yeah, once I woke up in the middle of the night. My cat was sleeping g on my chest. I woke up suddenly to see a beautiful white light glowing over my head. My cat was staring at it and once I saw it it started to float away very slowly... like shit ... she caught me.. im not here... and it floated away to the wall on the opposite side of the room and disappeared. It was beautiful and brought so much peace and love and comfort.

I live in Milwaukee and was watching news when this happened. I don't believe then or now those were sea gulls. I saw the newscast live. They came back later claiming seagulls were over courthouse flying. It was I'm totally different location. Some of us didn't buy that story because we saw the broadcast as it happened

I've seen that orb. Once I was driving east on the I40 in-between Arizona and New Mexico. It looked similar to that video. It followed next to the car at about 70 to 75mph then just flew up. I just heard stories about ball lightning and assumed that's what it was.

The reporter says, “Nichevo sebe! Shto eto?” Which means “What the hell? What is that?” (“Nichevo sebe” is a common expression of surprise; it literally means “I can’t come up with anything” or “I’m speechless”, and its closest English equivalents are “Wow” and “What the hell” etc.) As for what the crewman is saying, he calls what appears to be her name (which I can’t quite make out) and then only says half a word - “Sle...” which is most probably the first half of the word “Sledui” which means “Watch out”.

there's a rational scientific explanation for every one of these; except for the Dating Game killer. That's totally weird!

Depending on when the first video was filmed, my guess would be that it's micro meteorite dust entering the atmosphere during something like the Leonid Meteor Showers that happen every year. They are often best seen off in the distance either very early in the morning or just after dusk in the evening. And depending on the viewing angle they can occasionally appear to be going upward and even splitting into several sections.

I saw something similar over lake Michigan in Chicago at a very high populated skate park. Didn't think much of what I was looking at until other people started to take notice. No definitely not seagulls at all.

Was this only seen on TV? Because it looks like there is likely a light somewhere above/behind the camera and these are bugs being illuminated by that light's rays. We cant see their detail because the camera is focused on the backdrop. This plus their positioning makes them look like lights in the sky, but they're really just a couple of feet in front of the camera. HOWEVER, if this was actually seen in the sky with your eyes and not only by the camera.....then that's more compelling.

Wisconsin resident here. I remember that first one, I was so confused. I doubt that was seagulls. Wisconsin has a ton of UFO sightings, that was nothing new lmao.

In 2012 I and a friend witnessed the triangle of lights in Green Bay. There were three UFOs. Each came from same direction but flew away in different directions. Was creepy.

I could never forget how frustrated I was that I was working when the blue lights happened, only to hear it the next day from everywhere.

I live in Canada , in 2013 I witnessed this exact same orb as the reporter . It rose up slowly from behind trees that were separating two properties , an apartment building , and an inn l next door. It rose up slowly , getting brighter as it rose , then it moved slowly across the sky , after it got about 20 -30 ft away it stopped in mid air for a cpl of seconds then shot straight up and disappeared.... True story , I will never forget it .

I saw the reply about ball lightning but immediatley asked the question "why is it moving in a straight line upwards?" I will admit the reporter video is still very interesting to me.

The reporter caught on camera the phenomenon known as ball lightning. It’s extremely rare, so awesome to have got it on film.

As for Cheryl and Rodney (serial killer) -- ALWAYS listen to your intuition. Listen to that gut feeling. Listen to that nagging feeling you get about someone. It may also save your life. I went through something similar (not on a televised game show), but this guy was trying to get close to me, and I kept feeling unsafe in a weird way, my stomach was in knots around him, and I couldn't figure out why. But I went with my gut. I finally told him he was great, but I wasn't interested. A year later he had broke into his ex's house and shot her dead. I still get chills thinking about what could have happened.

I'm a fan and became friend with Nicholas Lea. I used to work in a geek convention in Paris and picked up the guest and he was one of them. I showed him Paris and after that, he gave me his phone number and time to time we sent texts to each other. The amazing part is that he was, actually, my favorite character from the show ^^

blue flash part was a substation for electrical going out causing the blue glow off of the clouds

#1 was proven to be a reflection of a fish tank of guppies. The vid was taken through a window with the tank in the room. The best part is that it was a cover-up to take interest away from a real sighting seen by citizens and police 3 hours earlier. I haven't been able to find the real one since that day. In the real sighting a man who is panicking asks the police to do something. The cop answers "what can I do?"

I remember seeing a round, pale red object moving up in the night sky. It had NO lights and quietly but quickly moved from one end of the sky to the other. When i told educated people about my sighting they immediately exclaimed, "weather balloon". Guess that's the go-to answer.

Don't know about the other stuff, but the blue light over NYC was a power surge at a Con Edison Electrical Substation in Astoria. The surge (138,000 volts) caused an arcing effect in the sky. Impressive, but not otherworldly or supernatural.

Those lights on the first one were summoned by that guy in the third video

The video had 2 feeds. The "light things" are brine shrimp, or similar water creature. You can see light reflecting off them and their erratic movements are them swimming. Props to the prankster who blended it though
