SCARBOROUGH UK | We take a walk along the seafront and beach on Scarborough North Bay, North Yorkshire, England from Sea Life Centre in the shadow of Scarborough Castle.

Scarborough is a traditional seaside town on the East Coast of Yorkshire England. It boasts two great bays, the South Bay and the North Bay which is where we walk in todays video.
The beaches here are beautiful golden sandy beaches and are extremely spacious. Scarborough North Bay is the most relaxed and laid back of the two however, so don't expect the hustle and bustle and commercialisation of Scarborough South Bay beach as this one is a very different beast.
Scarborough North Bay is more for your bucket and spade, sandcastle and paddling in the sea type holidaymaker and day tripper. Here on the North Bay you will find it quiet, peaceful and none of the amusement arcades, pubs, cafes and restaurants that you will find in Scarborough South Bay. But this is an advantage for those coming to Scarborough for a quieter seaside holiday.
Along the seafront and beach here you will find a large number of beautifully coloured beach huts, as well as the Chalet Cafe which serves refreshments, drinks and something to eat if you're hungry.
In the distance you can see Scarborough Castle sat up high on the clifftops that are also home to all the hotels and bed and breakfast places to stay here in Scarborough, all of which enjoy fantastic sea views!
Scarborough North Bay is also popular with people who enjoy watersports whether that be paddleboats or surfing (there is a surfboard shop here too!)
The hop on hop off open top bus stops in North Bay and you can jump on and take a bus trip all the way round to South Bay with it's lighthouse, Grand Hotel, and the famous Scarborough Spa Theatre (amongst other well known popular Scarborough Tourist Attractions)
So whether you are wanting a walk along Scarborough Beach or a swim in the North Sea then the North Bay here is most definitely worth a visit!

Such a lovely place Scarborough and north and south bay went there on holiday for years can't wait to take my fiance there
The South Bay is the one that’s a typical seaside resort with souvenir shops, Arcades, fish and chip shops and everything you expect of a British holiday resort! North Bay is completely different so you have the best of both worlds! I love watching the surfers, paddle boarders and the dogs running about having a great time!!

Love the video brilliant as always. The North Bay is very nice. I saw Bastille at the open air theatre 3 years ago now. There is a very nice pub by the sea life centre on the North side, it's called the Scalby Mills.

I remember there being a Cliff Lift opposite the Corner Café... A putting green at the bottom !... I'm only seventy two ugh. North Bay open air pool (I remember a South Bay open air pool near the Spa too). Northstead Manor Gardens... Oh dear, terminal nostalgia !
A5 hour drive from where we live in Scotland a worth every minute 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Totally agree ian..magic place..its a 8hr drive from up here in fraserburgh(the broch,) time they got an airport lol

Thanks for showing this section of Scarborough. It looks lovely and chilled. I've never been to Scarborough. We go there in September and will definitely come to the North Bay beach. As we bring our dog, it's good to note they are allowed at the far end of that beach!

The inlaws live in brid so when I am there we always go to Scarborough normally around Easter so I can go to the scooter rally never been to the north part so it was nice to c that part great video again

It's normally Easter weekend they go down on the Friday meet up at the spa on Saturday and have a ride out in the afternoon lts a fantastic sight

Another great video. We come here every year and stay at the North Bay at the Clifton Hotel (The big white building on the top right at the 12 minute mark) . We were here in early July for a week and had a great time. When you look up and see the Clifton Hotel just behind there is the Cinema I watched Black Widow there the week we were there its a great cinema and its next to the North Riding real ale pub. When we were here in 2002 they had a roman display at the castle with actors dressed as Roman Soldiers demonstrating the way the romans fought and lived. I have photo's from that show if your interested. Just message me if you want to display them.

I'd like to see the places that were featured in Last of the Summer Wine. 2 back to back episodes were filmed in Scarborough ca 1975.I'd like to see what has changed since then.As an American and in the deep south I can only dream of visiting there.

@@GimbalWalkTV I think one of the episodes was"The Great Boarding House Bathroom Caper" followed by "Cheering up Gordon".It was supposedly Scarborough.However,had it been any of the other wonderful seasides,I doubt if most viewers would know the difference,so it may have been.
looks like stairs everywhere what about wheelchair access please.

There are ramps (footpaths) that take you up and down the cliffs so it’s not just steps.
Can somebody help me with something about Scarborough North bay, Last week I was in north Yorkshire for a weeks holiday Stayed at Cayton bay, Went to Scarborough for a day, Drive through South Bay past the amusement park heading down to North Bay, As I was driving towards North bay I thought I saw cars driving up and down what looked like a zig zag road to and from a car park, Am I right?can’t seem to find anything on here,surely if that is true it must be so dangerous driving up and down like that
