Cute, beautiful, amazing, and should I dare say sexy at times? The thing about Olivia was that despite those adjectives, and so many more, she had that girl next persona, that you couldn’t help but fall in love with her.

@@drewgeraci8434 To be honest, the first girl I had a crush on was a blonde Canadian girl in second grade in Vienna, Austria, who was my classmate. Soon after I fell for Olivia’s voice and then her beauty. The third woman I fell for, who I am still in love with is Agnetha Faltskog, the blonde from ABBA. Just like millions of other boys and men.

Olivia was the absolute classiest! I can't imagine her ever being rude or obnoxious. So missed. Always great to watch or listen to.

My friend was on a TV special with her,ABBA and Andy Gibb that was taped on May 5th 1978 when he was 11 years old and a part of an acting troupe for kids.He walked up to her between takes and tried to introduce himself...she just stared at him,ignored him and walked away.Heard also she did drugs occasionally so maybe she was high? She had a lot of street cred in Hollywood and the media protected her from any bad press

Olivia was always a feast for the ears AND eyes. And because she'd had MANY years of experience as an actress, she was quite good, and had GREAT comic timing - as can be seen here. She was an absolute treasure, and she is missed.

This Luke is more accurate that what most of Dizney did

this would have been one skit in a Bob Hope TV Special. Maybe more of Olivia, Perry Como, and Mark Hamill, but I doubt anything else star Wars related. I don't remember seeing this. I would have been probably 11 (if aired in 1978) and was/am an Olivia junkie. I can't believe I never saw this.

Of course there's no more; it's a frigging comedy skit. And it isn't "Star Wars" at all; it's "Scar Wars."

They were lucky to act in a comedy skit with such an extraordinary Woman such as Olivia Newton- John.

When Hollywood was Great, All the Wonderful Talent of those times; at least we can hold their memories on film (ok a computer chip) and in our hearts.

“A credit card force.” LMFAO! Loved that Olivia couldn’t help but crack-up. With her hair tied back, Olivia probably had the most kissable face in The Universe.

Bob was one of the greatest performers of all time and did countless good with his war time USO shows !

R.I.P Olivia Newton John, always a good sport. Their own laughter back in the day as they tried to keep it together for the script was what made live tv so entertaining. Not the brain dead reality crap we get now. 👍🇦🇺

Thing is, I probably saw this back then, but i have no memory of it. Genuinely funny, but then, you know, Bob Hope.

This is great so much pure fun,Olivia is so fine and gorgeous although the princess outfit is not worn as Leia had worn it but that would have been a definate plus.The improvisations of Bob hope made everyone not be able to keep a straight face,how have i not seen this over the years ?!

Fun how Olivia has her hair in almost the same style as Rey's in the new Star Wars movies. Also this is hilairous.

I literally never saw this. And ONJ was obviously gorgeous yet also too shook up to avoid breaking character, lol. 😂

The only thing I remember from this skit is Hope singing I'm the Pits and Mark Hamill having him arrested at the end.

In London Star Wars just opened when this was made for TV, went to a midnight screening that December.

I saw this when it first aired in 1977! The " Looking for Mr. Goodbar" reference always gets me because when I first saw Star Wars, the other movie that was playing at the theater was "Mr. Goodbar!" Never saw that one until the mid-90s!
