And they sound even better, especially since they can overlap vocals, something that they can do live as well, just Alvestam could have never. Deal with it.

I love how the intro is like Power metal and then it goes to beast Death Metal xD!

These guys are the same geniuses of their style as Amon Amarth. I'll be 35 in March, and I've been listening to them for really more than 15 years.When I listen to them, I understand that time has not just stopped, but it never existed. I feel like I did 15 or more years ago.

To this day nobody had ever cover the whole guitar solo from this song. Man. I was so spoiled learning any solo from youtube and when there's none it kinda blows my mind.

Music that heals us ,real artists like Scar Symmetry are great people and great musicians

Incapacity, Solar Dawn, Scar Symmetry, Torchbearer, Quest of Aidance, guest for Zonaria, Miseration, Syconaut, Angel Blake, Carnalized, Solution .45, The Few Against Many, Jarawynja, Nuclear Blast Allstars....Christian Alvestam has been in a few and IS in a few for sure. with a voice like that and all round talent like he has he can pretty much go up to any band and just say "Kick him out. I want in" or "You and you, quit. We're starting a new band." The dude makes good music!

I like the idea of 2 singers.

I feel like the production quality of their music videos went downhill as the went on, the older Scar Symmetry videos feel like actual professionally produced music videos, while their newer ones look like something I could have made. I'm not so sure what happened.

imo SS turned into a new level. Listen to these vocal harmonies never available live with only one singer. Moreover growls are deeper than ever and the new clean vocalist, he is technically unbeatable. I hear heaven and hell in his voice. It's like some sacral experiance to listen to Scar Symmetry now.

The chorus of this song (1:34) is one horn section away from being "Ska Symmetry"

Honestly, I love SS with both Christian and the new singer. This song's chorus is just beautifully written.

I love this band and this one of the best songs from the latest album. I am sad that Christian has left the band, but the new singers work really well and I hope they carry on what they started with DMDS. Thumbs up all round.

that ending harmony sent chills down my spine. SS has never failed when it comes to emulating pure emotion and talent in their music. fuck rap and all that other bull shit music. this is REAL music. \m/

BWAHAHAHAHA! I definitely heard "eye of the tiger" every time, thats for sure!

I dont know what it is about Sweden but apparently it is home to pretty much all my favorite metal bands, In Flames, Soilwork, Scar Symmetry, Amon Amarth, the only one not there is Children of Bodom but hey they are just next-door!

Edge's shirt in 2020 made me love the word "ICONOCLAST"

rock doesn't typically have kick ass solos like this band partakes in. Extremely Metal.

@wackamastaz Christian was actually just a studio creation, just layers upon layers of vocals. OBVIOUSLY they purposefully chose two vocalists so that the band's sound didn't change too drastically, and they could make for a better live performance.

I know you all miss the old singer, Christian Älvestam. But you have to admit that their music is still hella good. They didnt really change the style that they used to have with Christian. So just stop hating and just sit back and listen to some awesome music.

@cothy86 If you look at Symmetric in Design and Holographic Universe there is a massive difference in vocal range. Give them time to grow. I like the new direction and adding of more elements into their music, I don't think Christian could pull it off. Christian is a great singer, but he wanted to head in a different direction and lets not forget he couldn't quite pull it off live and wanted to just be a studio band. The new dynamic works great. You can always listen to studio band Solution .45.

I admit i was hit pretty hard with Christian's change over, i never hated it but it took me some time to get used to, this song still holds power to remind me of better times and ill always be thankful regardless of who's in the group. Keep making awesome music guys

Nightwish and scar symmetry are the best metal bands. But hardly anyone has heard of them

for those of you that are wondering, an iconoclast is a person that destroys religious symbols. I think the clean vocalist fits the band more than the screamer. the screamer doesn't move at all/have any stage presence. but good effort, they're still new to the band so ill see what they do next!

@WorldMechanical I didn't say I hated the new ss, I just said I prefer their old style. Their new songs are pretty good too, it's just a different style. My favorites are the iconoclast and A parenthesis in Eternity :)

I bet if this was a new band...formed not from scar symmetry fragments....but new lineup altogether people would be groping on this album- "tis is f*cking guud"..... people just waste their time comparing to their old albums....personally it's an excellent album, everything I look for in melo-death these guys got it

@WorldMechanical my point is as i said in previous comment, not all are willing to tour that's all, i mean my band Sorrow and suffering, we have a album out since december last year and we haven't toured yet. Mostly because some of us still have school to attend to and me for instance, i have my daughter to look after most of the time

I agree with many posters below. The vocals are something new though, since I've been listening to these guys since their first album. I don't think it's a case of power in their voices, since they obviously have that. I think it's the presence. They just don't command the same presence that Christian did. Still, Dark Matter Dimensions was an awesome album, and I'm looking forward to see where it takes these guys.

great song, is a little on the pop side of things but still not too bad to mix things up. very refreshing.

And hey... you gotta give the director the creddit for totaly ripping of HIM - The Funeral of Hearts. AND you gotta give him creddit for making a bad as metal band look fake and gay by playing on the freaking snow... AND THE BEST PART, RUNNING! This song deserved soo much more.

@LordAbrxias SM57's are great for vocals. They were designed for multiple vocals.

This lineup kicks. I think they sound way heavier and better with these guys. The first singer, Christian, sounded like The Cookie Monster when he tried to growl. I still dig those cds also, just like this the most.

@CodyGOfficial as any good microphone enthusiast should! Blue creates magnificent mics for the money, and Neumann is just god amongst microphones.

They are impressive!!!! But still I can not get used to the new Scar Symmetry vocalists. Yet they are phenomenal.

@ellobohombre This album was rushed due to the fact that they wanted to get their new singers doing new material. They made it in one year (compared to other bands which usually takes 2 to 4 years).

@hellhammermsa Me too, Scar Symmetry will always be my favorite band of all time. Their guitars are absolutely amazing and Henrik (the drummer and lyrics writer) is a freaking genius. Solution .45 is starting to grow on me though.

@ThreatSignalNZ Holographic Universe was and still is the peak of Melodic Death Metal.

This is the best video this far with the new singers, although, it's still not THE music video. The greatest thing I miss is the underlying concept. Every song and album from Scar Symmetry has it, "The Illusionist" and the "Morphogenesis" videos had it too, but in the ones from the new album, including this - I see none in them! A little girl walking away from home, meeting an obscure-looking priest guy?I'd say it has a deeper meaning if we could see what happens after they meet, but we don't.

@neverfell they are both in Scar Symmetry, neither of them are guest singers. They are Christian's replacements, Lars and Roberth. And both are fucking awesome

I wasn't a huge fan of that album although I listen to it once in a while. My problem with the other two albums, holographic and the one before that one, is that the first half is great, while the second half is not so great. When I first heard Dark Matter Dimensions I was shocked how awesome it was. I was so happy that this band really fleshed out and had a solid album.

SS videos are generally quite funny to watch. I dunno... the cameras always seem to do funny angles xD

heres what i think dark matter dimensions was an awesome album even though christian left.He doin Solution 45 which is excellent and one hell of an album and i have to say better.dark matter dimensions was an up to par album and music and sound is still there.Their videos are cheesy but still captures the essence of the band.for me this album was great and still sounded like scar symmetry.thats what were going to get.
