Christian was and is a totally amazing singer, and now with the band having to have two singers instead of one makes things a lot more different. Even though the band has two singers now instead of just one when Christian was there, the two current singers are still amazing and Scar Symmetry is still a totally kick ass brutal band. I am still thoroughly impressed.

This is my first time listening to the band with the new singers, and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. It's definitely not Christian (I hate to echo almost every other comment), but it's better than 90% of the crap out there. The clean vocalist almost seems to be skirting 80s buttrock vocals at times without ever actually doing it, but it's not that bad. The music itself is still phenomenal as ever. I'll gladly buy the album.

I would put Per Nilsson against any metal guitarist out there. The guy is insanely fast, accurate, and every note has a purpose.

Yep, it's hard to top Ascension Chamber in how cheesy it gets, but this video is definitely up there. It's a great song though, they're good musicians.

This kicks ass. I really don't know why people are so critical of the new vocalists - they sound awesome, and the music is every bit as good as it was when Christian was in the band.

These guys are way better than I first thought. The faces that the growling guy makes in the video make me lol.

Have you ever listened to the other guys from the band talk about Robert? I think his name is Robert....Roberth?....I dunno. Anyway, they all talk about how silly he is, and how he loves to have a good time. He's just havin' fun with it, ya know? Christian was great for sure, but these two make an epic combo, and thankfully, these guys have such loyal fans....right? I would hope so. Cause they still kick ass.

Christian was amazing but i have to admit they did a great job finding singers that sound VERY similar to keep their style alive :)

I think in this video, Robert (the screamer) is just playing around because he's a goofy guy. In concert, he is still very animated, but not "crazily" so as in this video. I got a chance to meet him and the rest of the band after a concert in Portland, OR: really nice, down-to-earth guys who love their fans.

the solo section is the reason to listen to this song for me, and it ends sooo suddenly...

The faces the screamer keeps makeing are brilliant!

He descended from a pirate clan, and thats how pirates roll... But I love their sound, even with the new dudes, SS music totally kicks ass.

The new singer has a good singing voice, but still growls throughout the song. Which means I have a feeling he's pretty good at playing the old music. He does a good job at mimicking the voice, the style might have changed if they kept the old singer as well, this is just how it turned out. All that matters is Solution .45 is coming out with their long awaited CD, and it sounds amazing.

It's great tp see and hear that the singers they recruited can sound great. Very good song.

The guy normally doing the cleans is doing the screams, the growler is growling. They do this at a few other points in the song as well, I think, and in some other songs.

I think Symmetric in Design was their best album personally.

The instrumental is still great, and the vocals while not being Christian are actually not bad. I'll definitely grow into it. I'm in with the "pleasantly surprised" group. They're not amazing, they're not Christian, but they're actually still pretty good. It's a feat that someone as misanthropic as me will say this, but you need to give people a chance. Be patient and don't be so judgmental. That's aimed at people who thought SS was finished. I think they will evolve and move on.

The bassist reminds me of some ... pirate or somethin? in a movie? or a cartoon? can't recall ... must.. find .....

I grew up on rock in the 80's, then metal in the 90's. So my tastes are attuned to the multiple part harmony vocals and the chunky grinding guitars. Which I love about this song. I am having some trouble finding similar sounding bands. Does anyone know of any? I am also a fan of Fear Factory and Machinehead mixed with bands like 311 and Incubus.
