It can roughly be translated to "Voice of The Machine", which is a reference to the fact that the party is all played by professional voice actors. Granted, this probably worked better when this didn't apply to every other character in the story...

I think what they did with everyone is awesome! They gave Scanlan hand based magic to explain when he gets Bigby's Hand. They gave everyone a very followable power growth that you don't have to have any D&D knowledge to follow.

I watched all three episodes back-to-back as soon as they were released. Utter perfection. I don't know how The Legend of Vox Machina managed to exceed the hype, but it did. Bidet!

@@Allantitan There are so many nods to the campaigns in the show. If you haven't already, rewatch the Gilmore's Glorious Goods scene and check out the shelves. There are a ton in there but I'm like 90% sure I spotted the handle of Vex's broom

This show is the example of how to exceed expectations and hype! BRAVO.

For someone who has followed Critical Role since Campaign 1 Episode 32 (PIke in action got me hooked on being a cleric) this show brought me to tears. The subtle D&D moments and seeing characters you love in action visually is everything I could have hoped for and more. Vox Machina will always be my favorite.

Between plans going awry because of locked doors, to seeing a copy of Tusk Love in Gilmore's Glorious Goods, this show really shows the actor's appreciation to the fans, as well as being a bit of an apology for thinking $750,000 was not "respectfully, a paltry sum," as Pumat would put it.

It's amazing to see all the characters interact and imagine all the voice actors in the booth.

That's unexpected lol

The best thing about that scene is that, in other cartoons the video editing would be meta, outside of the story and unseen by the characters within the show. Here? Scanlan's casting Major Image while performing, so everything we see as the audience is everything that the King and his council see while he's performing, and that's brilliant. (The purple smoke gives it away, it looks similar to when Scanlan cast Major Image to fool Brimscythe... which is kind of ironic considering he's in the room here)

I actually like the return to having new episodes come out gradually. If something goes badly wrong, they can correct it on the fly. If they dump the entire season at the same time, a big problem could go completely unresolved until the next season, which we might not even get because of such a problem. Case in point, just look at Wheel of Time. Plus, Our society needs more delayed gratification.

Well, they do have a *bear*. That's gotta mean something.

"Get some water, hide your daughters" is the best line I've ever heard.

First three episodes were absolutely amazing. I’m looking forward to seeing more!

If you think this song is legendary, wait until the episode 3 credits.

Episode three completely blew it out of the water and got me hooked.

Just finished all three episodes and I must give my honest opinion.... I NEED MOOOAAARRR!!! I mean the writing, characters and the plot, everything I've ever needed in a series.

I can't stop laughing at this

I haven’t seen anything else of this show, but it is automatically awesome because of this alone.

Just watched the 1st 3 episodes and it absolutely exceeded major expectations! Just WoW! The voice acting is perfect by all. The humor is naughty and on point. The animation is special. It's an amazing transference of the game we watched them play without feeling Hollywood. Watch it! You'll agree. 👍

Khary Peyton playing the Sovereign made my day,

I actually love Sam so much. I'm gutted for people who haven't actually watched Critical Role's first campaign because Scanlan's musical repertoire is insane xD I'm so glad they got a show as well. I sincerely hope that there are more seasons because I'd love to see the other arcs of the campaign covered! The Chroma Conclave arc would be ridiculous to see on screen!

Love the value added by Scanlan/Sam and these songs. As much as I like the witcher s bard songs, Scanlans are very much more catchy

And that's how exposition about characters should be done.

Same! Episodes 1 and 2 were a little meh, but episode 3 was stellar!

I haven't seen the podcast, but I can see why Scanlon seems to be a favorite.

I love this show!

I like Scanlan. He reminds me of Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones. He's lustful, witty, small in stature, and giant in personality.

I love the slight animation error at 0:57 , thought my eyes were tricking me when I first watched it on prime.

Plot twist, Trinket could of went inside but the guards just wanted the bear to stay with them (since later on they were petting Trinket)

If it happens, that would be great. Campaign 2 had some moments I am really excited to see them animate. The contrast between the usual light-hearted chaos brought about by Jester and the seriousness of events like Mollymauk vs Lorenzo. Also seeing characters like Fjord where his player Travis let a little more of himself come through in the character's personality compared to when he made Grog. We need a Mighty Nein animation at some point.

The introduction to their party should have been the theme song

Best series so far.
