@@scottsmith4315 I remember getting calls from fake debt collectors and they'd leave voicemails saying that I would be arrested. It was honestly terrifying and I could see me falling for it if my way to deal with anxiety wasn't to google extensively, so I can see a lot of ways how someone could get scammed. It really gets to me that people just say people who get scammed are just stupid, when there's a lot of angles that a scammer can leverage against someone.

@@lrose5522 I was actually in the middle of getting scammed in the loan scam when I got the one about my car being found in Texas with cocaine and money etc. I told my scammer (who I trusted at that time) and he told me not to worry it’s just a scam. I got so many calls during that period. Like they see a sucker and then attack like piranhas.

@@dawnbreak3299 - That's not how it works. Probably best not talk about something you have no idea about. Most scammer employees earn their money via commission i.e. ripping off old ladies. The average Indian scam call centre pays their employees about $200 per month base salary. The rest is through commission. The scam centres tend to pay 1/50th commission to their employees for every successful scam. Thus, if you worked in one of those call centres and scammed someone out of $5,000 dollars, you'd take home $100 in commission. Commission means an individual scammer can quadruple their base pay or earn more than $1,500 per month. Might not sound a lot in the west but this is an extremely good wage in India and that's why scam centres are so prevalent.

Because of the wealth difference for working class Americans and working class Indians, they think that everyone in America is filthy rich. They don't realize that everything costs more in America, so it almost evens out, and they don't realize that many people in America are also poor, especially elderly people. Like many of my countrymen in Sweden thinks that American salaries are much higher than Swedish salaries. They don't think about that Americans have to buy health insurance, tuition fees and many more things we don't have to because it's already payed with our taxes. It will all even out in the end.

I myself was working in one in my third language, sometimes it was truly horrible. No empathy for these idiots, tho.

I always like to compare how apathetic the scammer sounds when they accidentally send too much money vs the absolute frantic desperation they have when you redeem the cards. If they sounded more like that when they transfer the money, they would be much more convincing.

Yeah it's really gross! It's a part of their script and they ALL do it. It's obnoxious to hear every time. - At some point early on they will say something like "oh you're "x" years old? But you sound so young ... like I'm thinking your like 35." - and after that they say "I'm like your grandson" in order to manipulate their victims and ALSO to help sell their victim on lying to the store people about buying the gift cards for their 'grandson' ..." It's really REALLY disgusting and it makes my skin crawl every time I hear them.

He doesn't even like people to call out the fact that 97% of these scam calls he takes part in come from India. He doesn't want that fact to be singled out. Even though its true, it 'targets' a group of people, so he dismisses it and won't allow it in his chat. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I LOVE his videos, and watch tons of Kitboga videos every day. He has a HUGE collection of full videos on Twitch - even though Twitch's interface kind of sucks, there's 3+ years worth of his videos on there! He is great ..... just wish he wasn't as PC as he is. Meh - it isn't that big a deal really. Short story - yes, Kitboga is too nice to call out these scammers for what they really are! Dealing with scammers is exactly like dealing with a psychopathic narcissist. One moment it's 'I need your help. You're saving me! I'm so grateful!' Then it's 'I'm going to take all your money, I'm going to ruin your life, I'm going to destroy you!' Then when that doesn't work it's straight back to 'I'm so grateful, you're like family to me. Thank you for doing this to save my job.'

They go from "You f****, f*** you." To "Sir, listen please" in a second

49:10 - when they are asking you to stop redeeming cards, you can say that you don't trust them with money anymore and afraid they'll make another mistake so you insist on doing it yourself. That way you don't have to ignore or pretend to not to hear them. See what kind of an answer they'll come up with.

Yeah, they are fake Google cards with a fake Google account. It's called a virtual machine. There's a scam going about where people use a fake banking app and they've been buying jewelry by showing the store workers the transaction is complete when in reality it's a fake account. This is what he's basically using.

Scammers almost tricked my 80 year old grandmother pretending I was in jail... She was told to buy gift cards for my bail money, but fortunately called my brother first to see if he knew I was in jail.

And I'm pretty sure he does report them if it's possible. If you're looking for more in-your-face karmic payback, I believe ScammerRevolts is who you're looking for. He fucks with their computers, but he's less entertaining (imo). As far as your aversion to how this guy looks for some reason, I can't help you there, that's a you problem. I personally have a very hard time being offended by how someone looks, and I find people who are easily offended by looks vain, to be blunt. Have a good one.

You need to team up with Kitboga as the background conversations would add some context, a few people understand the expletives if they have Hindi speaking friends but I'm sure the general background chat adds an real insight into the minds of these criminals.

@@judyfrancis4515 For those who don't know, I was referencing a video from Kit that I don't even remember anymore. I don't even really remember the context. I think Kit was discussing excuses with a scammer that he would tell the bank people about why he was pulling out so much money. The scammer wanted him to say that he would be opening a restaurant in Thailand and Kit just kept wasting his time with what names he should give this fake restaurant. One of them of course being just "Thai Restaurant" I'm explaining this because I feel that joke is too obscure for people to understand.

What I thought was brilliant about your suggestion, was the idea that a team could be created and trained and assisted to do the kind of work that Kit (and others; Kit is the funniest and most entertaining) does. E.g., I could improvise like Kit, but I have limited computer skills. Perhaps others might have technical skills, but not know how to interact with scammers in a humorous and extended way. If Kit trained people to do what he does, we could perhaps do more to bring down these human viruses.

I'm quite new on this channel and OMG those redeem moments are awesome. But if the scammers can see the computer screen, why don't they copy the gift card codes quickly from the notepad and try to redeem them on their Google account, instead of just shouting?

@@SylD0611 they don’t want to redeem them, they sell them for cash. They don’t want the money in their google accounts, they want the cash.. they sell them for probably $350-$400 for a $500 gift card

​@JatinderToor20 Right. The scammers sell them at sites that turn around and sell them again - after taking their cut - for 90% or so of the full card value. We need to never buy discounted gift cards ourselves, or we're supporting an industry that helps these thieves launder money.

I caught a livestream a month or so ago. One of the scammers recognized Kitboga and all his scammer friends gathered around the phone to tell him how much they loved this channel. The Santa guy was there and asked if Kit remembered him. Did the voice again and everything. Kinda sad how they all acted as if he was their friend or something.

To be fair, I'm sure many of them aren't truly bad people and find their way out eventually. A lot of the companies are pretty brutal to the employees too so I imagine some like to see them getting taken down.
