A good place for scallops if your ever in Victoria is rosebud McCray specifically straight off the beach in 5-12m of water can get a bag limit of 100 in an hour or less but only need 15-20 for a good feed

Caught by hand in a sustainable way and eaten later that day. The dream.

Discovered this video by doing a search for "What exactly are scallops?" Glad I found it. Very interesting watch. 👍

Great video as always, really like the catch and cook. I use Panko quite often but find it to coarse most often. I run it through the food processor and make it finer. It gives a nice light coating. Good to see you put the first batch blooper at the end of the video. Cheers from Canada

Quite civilised, max of 13m. Not quite as good as the Icelandic scallops we had in Norway in 4m though. Limiting factor was running out of hands each dive!

Scallops are my favorite mollusks.....sweet meat....I like to eat them raw like sashimi or lightly grilled with lemon n butter

Scallops are one of the most delicious foods offered by planet Earth! One of my friends in California shipped seafood he bought from San Francisco fishermen at the docks to his customers' doors. He sold me a dozen sashimi-grade scallops at cost. If you think scallops taste great pan-seered, grilled with a strip of bacon wrapped around, or deep-fried, wait until you taste one raw, sliced in slivers and dipped in sesame see oil. Sublime!

I watched this when it first came out and I was brand new to the sport. I was your friend when I started. Totally different now. Wow, can I relate. To be honest, I’ve learned as much from Dan and Joe Pk as I have from experience. You really have to immerse yourself with as many training “inputs” as you can get.

What a catch for a woman to have her man fish for dinner - and that too for yummy scallops - and then cook them himself, while she looks on in amazement. Lovely video. Thanks for uploading!

Looks amazing Daniel! When we cook the scallops we do the same. In the shell, with butter, garlic and parsley, but we grate som cheese on top aswell. might not look a million dollars, but it taste amazing :)
