When Spearfishing goes WRONG!
Anyone who has been diving for a while can tell you, spearfishing doesn't always go to plan. I've witnessed more than my fair share of these moments and in this video I'm going to show you a few of the more hilarious incidents. Throughout these fails I try and explain what can be done to prevent this situations happening to you. Some of them have no explanation - just bad luck!
Don't forget to send in your funny clips to dmspearfishingvideos@gmail.com to have the chance to be featured in a future video.

one of 100's, another beach dive off Worth Ave. on the sand bottom between 1st and 2nd 6 of us heading out to the 3rd reef I'm last when I spot eyes looking up. I forgot my pole spear so i grab my leg knife quickly stick the bottom. A huge flounder starts fighting to get away gripping both ends of the knife keeping it on. I catch up to the group to help bag it for dinner. what a rush. LOL

Nice one mr Mann some reflections of my own experiences there😂 . Speared a black fish down in the gong yesterday and yelled halibut and every one new what I was talking about and that started everyone off screaming halibut on every fish , funny as. Keep the footage coming legend 😎🇦🇺🐟🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️

Brilliant video Daniel! Thanks for taking the time to compile the footage. It's reassuring to know that even the most experienced spearos like yourself occasionally get it wrong. Last year a big kingfish swam right up to me. I took an easy shot and totally missed. It was like the movie matrix in slow motion. Looking forward to your next vid👍

Ahh maan shit happens !!! I had a similar situation with the tuna when i shot an amberjack after fighting for like 45 minutes it turned my shaft into a spring and the stupid barb closed and a good fish gone to waste !! Good things is that we learn from our mistakes and since then i use a two barbed shaft which next has to be directed to a vital shot ! Keep up the good work bro !

I had a habit of squinting before I dived a cave so my eyes got used to the dark. One time I stuck my head in a cave and opened my eyes and there was the head of a wobby 6 inches away. It would have been funny watching me get the hell outa Dodge. No GoPro's in the 70's!

Diving like this is great but the only real problem I have are sharks, I had a bad experience in California and I just can not shake it! I envy people who keep doing what they do even if they had a bad experience as well. Now that amazes me! I get sweaty palmed just thinking about it! Great video, stay safe :-)
