MP I love this review, every manufacturer has flaws and Triumphs, the cars look great the few flaws should be addressed but for now just happy to see more modern F22 liveries.

Nice cars! My wife is not happy though as I want them. lol. I find that most mirrors break off anyways.

Hi MP. You're track layout is sensational. I purchased the same 2 cars primarily because they are the only F1 cars that are DPR. (That I'm aware of) I had a go at retro fitting a C7005 chip to a Lotus 99T (Aryton Senna) quite the challenge & frustrating as hell. Had to cut away most of the internal webbing, & smooth with a Dremel to make the chip fit. Just about compromised the cars structural integrity. My only issue is the McLaren's, due to their length is that when negotiating corners side by side some body parts will hit & on occasion the rear Tyres will catch external railing if it's at a corner. Mind you my layout is only a piddly 1.2m x 2.4m. Other than that, the performance is quite impressive. I noticed you didn't have cornering issues as your layout is a lot wider & much larger. I have no issues with any of my other cars which are mostly 80s & 90s style F1 & touring cars.

Hi Eddie! Thanks for the comment and for the kind words about the layout. Yeah these two cars overall are great! In looks and driving. Hopefully Scalextric continues and maybe gets more licensing for more teams 🤞🏼 Ahh yeah I know sometime fitting chips into some cars is a really pain! Yeah I can see that being an issue with them being a longer car now a days.

Oh man I didn’t realize they were going to do a gulf Williams livery! Gonna need to get that. Thanks for the video!

Yeah they got a Williams F1 Race Set coming out with two set exclusive Williams Cars, both with different liveries from 2023.

Awesome pair of F1s you got there, Massimo! I am always especially envious of your Carrera F1 collection. It seems I missed the window of opportunity to grab any up at a reasonable price when I got back into the hobby. Oh well, maybe next time Carrera decides to put some more out... I did put in preorders for the NASCARS this year, but not the same! 🤣😂👍

The way you convert Skelectrics cars to Carrera Digital is to get the Carson chip. Ready to run out of the box, swap out on the bottom of the car.

I haven’t seen them in digital, perhaps you would have to use the smaller chips like SlotInvasion sells to get these converted for Carrera.

how do you drive the scalextric cars on carerra track - do you convert them?

@@aeliayousaf when using an Analog car you unfortunately cannot use any of the digital functions. You would need to buy a Carson chip for the Scalextric car or chip it with another chip option to make it work on Carrera digital

Mass, true down front tires and pledge floor shine them, true the rears flat and oil them for 3 days and naptha them and you will shave 1/2 second easy. Scalextrics are lighter and higher RPM motor then Carrera. I have the just the Norris McLaren so far, not a modern Williams fan now the family no longer owns them.

So, for scalextric they are pretty racey. A lottle tweekng and you will have a set of 🚀 's. Gotta love them.

Yeah a little bit of tweaking and more practice I’m sure they can move up the leaderboard.

Scalextric should have better quality control than that. It will be interesting to see how you correct the front tire problem. Beautiful looking slot cars!🏁
