Slot car racer, collector and vlogger.
Racing has always been a part of my life. From a young age of my father waking me up to watch F1 races, to myself getting into kart racing and now track days with my personal cars and also wrenching on cars... I've always loved and had a passion for motor racing. In the winter months I would normally have a slot car track setup, but over the years the hobby was put on the backburner... UNTIL NOW! I rediscovered my passion for slot car racing in 2020 and it has blown up. I love the slot car community and obviously the hobby itself.
My mission is to grow this hobby, give it the exposure it deserves and get more people involved in this amazing hobby! I mean who doesn't like the smell of burnt rubber in their living room?

I love Formula one and I love Scalextric cars. Nice set.
HI Massimo. what programme do you use to get the sector times?? Thanks Max
Hi Max, I use the SmartRace App.
Nice!!!
Classic F1 race series...YES!
a guy walks into a bar with a piece of tarmac and says give me 2 beers, one for me and one for the road
Lmfao 🤣 mate, I nearly spit my drink out lol. Excellent!
I am in Canada too. Where in Canada are you located? How do I message you?
@@Sallan.summers hi, I’m just about and hour or so north of Toronto, how about you? You can message me on here, Instagram, Facebook. Email. Whichever you prefer. Cheers!
Absolutely stunning car. Well done!
Great video MP. Now, let’s true the front and rears and pop that magnet out to take it to the next level.
Great job Bello. spin it bella nice nice lol. what model is that SI motor press you're using? They have two versions/sizes no?
Hi Maximo I have a video clip of my layout showing a Scaleauto F1 with a frankenslot chip . You asked how well it works with a chip now you can see Cheers kzread.info/dash/bejne/hZujo9ikkc7VlZs.htmlsi=T6FR0xZr4Ief1OZl
I can see getting into this! Thanks for the demo!🏁
I think the actual Mclaren that it's modeling is from 1974. Do you know what year the slot car was produced?
you should get the classic ford Torino nascar
Very NICE!! I’m going to try out the Slot-It DTM kit. Should be a good improvement!! Happy Racing!!!
Way too much time on your hands. Didn't even know this is a thing.
Yeah mate, it’s a fun hobby.
I turn those slot cars into RC..( remote control ) This way, you can drive them on any smooth surface. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gIepp7Koia3Zirw.htmlsi=gTk-6Vw5K8spbBtn
Now that would be cool. I use to mess about with some mini-Zs back in the day.
@MPSlotCar The mini Zs are not to much different. Easier to control, though. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gIepp7Koia3Zirw.htmlsi=gTk-6Vw5K8spbBtn

Hi Massimo, another improvement would be Carrera tuning motor 230000RPM from LEB Hobbies. I used one in my Ferrari 512. It certainly improves performance.
I’ve seen those and have been curious to give them a go. I can imagine the difference they make
@@MPSlotCar That should have been 23000RPM
Wow! That’s such a great idea with the crossover in between pit stalls. That makes pit stops more realistic. If it’s just 2 racing whoever wins qualifying can choose which pit stop they want. The 1st before the crossover or the 2nd after the crossover.
Massimo....will the SlotiT screws work in 124 Carrera's?
Hi. Yeah I have them in one of my 124 Carreras.
@@MPSlotCar Cool, I'll have to ty some, thanks Mass.
Well done 👍
Thanks brother!
cool upgrade may have to do a couple now.
It’s a pretty decent upgrade for our Carrera cars.
G'day massiom great review awesome work 😮😊😊
Thanks Rhys!
Great video and thanks for not editing it. Those are my favorites because we’re all in the same boat lol that’s a nice looking car. I like the hood logo and design. Thanks for sharing my brother cheers 🍻
Haha glad you like it Ricky! Cheers slot brother ✌🏼🏁
Well done MP! Always great to revive an old car! It’s alive!! The DTM kits are great!! Oscar for the win!
Oscar is the man! Thanks Marty, cheers! ✌🏼🏁
Hi Mo. So, the sticker helps a lot!??? LOL :-) Funny outro, eh! Here comes the German Hermann critics now. 🙂 Why put oil onto the axxle so early? You had the oil on your finger then and smeared it onto the car. and elsewhere. Snap in the bearings with the axxle without oil on it. Plastic does not like oil. Put it on, if you did the final installment of the axxle later. That way you prevent to smear it over the axxle which will catch dust and hairs right there, where the oil sticks. Only the bearings need the oil. ;-) After you snapped the axxle and bearings in, shove the axxle from side to side and check if it runs free. No oil still need here. You could turn the chassis 90 degrees and see, if it runs free by the gravity tending to fall out then. It should run free out of the bearings. If not, check the right fit of the bearings. That aslo goes with ball bearings. You had the old axxle, so use that as your measure for the fitting of the new axxle on both ends of the axxle/rims. This helps, if you don`t have the right space in the wheel box, or if you don`t want an overhang of the wheels. Sometimes the axxle is just too long, so there needs to be a cutting then. If you installed the axxle, make sure, that there isn`t too much overhang on the axxle-ring of the rim by the axxle. Just a slight millimeter on the outside is fine. Before full tightening of the Gear, tighten the wheels first. When slightly pre-tightened, you can than correct the right distanceit of it . If you aligned the axxle on both sides, tighten just one rim fully and than tighten the other, but leave just a little play. Than fully tighten the Gear-Wheel finally. This helps to get the right routine to it. Once done a few times, you will be fine. No master has ever felt from the sky, means we all start somewhere and get to fine line eventually. Be careful with that screwdriver on other Motors to release the pinion. On Carrera Motors, that might not really matter too much, but you could damage the Motor Shaft. If you have a tool for that, use it! ;-) I saw, you had ball-bearings in the extra bag. Install these instead of the brass ones. The brass ones, you can use for an extra front axxle, for instance. You either lay the ball-bearings over night into an alcohol bath, or like I do it. I use a pencil-torch to get rid of the oil inside by the manufacturer. Than grease it up. I won`t have to wait for another day that way. But be careful, not to overheat it, while doing it. Those ball-bearings give you way more free fine spin on the rear-axxle. Some also install them in the front , as well. Check the measure of diameter on the inner ring, that snaps in. Often, they fit without filling out the holder on the chassis. But if there needs to be a treatment, that helps to loosen the tension onto the chassis. If it snaps in and you won`t remove the axxle often after, glue it in. But before glueing, if it fits right in and holds by itself tight, push the outer flansh of the bearing towards the chassis, so that there will be a tight alignment of it.Than glue it in. Just a tip of a tooth-pick full of super-glue goes well and holds it in place. The glue will run onto it by itself, if you position it right at the point, where the chassis holds it on both sides. That way, you can remove it better, instead of applying too much glue onto and braking something off! Than finally smear the Gear-Wheel and Pinion, plus the gap between the Motor-Shaft and the Gearwheel-Flansh. A little drop on the tip of the Shaft is good, because right here is the friction of the unit in curves. Voila, you are good to go! Yeah, me again, being a slick guy. But it works that way, Brother! 🙂
lol no critics or criticism! Like hearing everyone’s input. That’s how I learn, and get ideas on how to do things better. I’m still fairly new in the hobby, at least to this level so anything I can absorb from the veterans of the hobby I’ll take!! Thanks as always Bo! You da best!
@@MPSlotCar :-) You are not new in the hobby. Maybe in terms of tunning, but once you got the procedure soaked up, it will be a lot easier. Lots of cars to tune therefore than. 🙂
Need to oil and grease...
Hi Randy, you’re absolutely right. Oiling was done again prior to running but I unfortunately I do need to buy more grease next time I head out to the club track. Couldn’t for the life of me find mine 😬 thanks for watching, cheers! ✌🏼
Hey Massimo , you should bring it up to my truck and put in some laps
There’s an idea
More than welcome to race
Brilliant Video my Slot Brother
Thank you brother! ✌🏼😄
Great video! Does this kit fit on GT3 cars?
I believe they have a kit for GT cars 🤔 but it’s currently not on their site. I would have to follow up with Oscar at SI to see if these would work.
@@MPSlotCar thanks! I'll check it out...
Great hop up there MP I just got some of them myself and I notice and improvement to the car on my track I'm going to order a couple More. Thanks for the Video.
These kits are totally worth it. Happy to hear you’re having similar results brother! Happy racing! 🏁
Nice upgrade kit MP If your happy with the look of the rims then you do you I’d refer 4 rims the same but it ain’t my car 🍻
Normally I’m like you, I like things to be uniform! Still may make inserts for them 🤷🏻♂️
Great hopup there brother!!!!! Looks like it's a runner now!!!! Seems it will improve if you drive it longer!!!
Thank you my Slot Brother! Yeah needs some more running, she can only get better from here on out
Nice one Mass, cheeky little upgrade never goes a miss bro
Thanks Pete! 🙌🏻😄
Awesome, that must of been a great atmosphere. Thanks for making a video ❤
It was a ton of fun! Cheers buddy ✌🏼
Do you use the aftermarket power supply? Thanks
Hi, yes I’m using the aftermarket power supply with the OmniSlotBox.
where is a good place to buy slot car stuff in Ontario or where do you guy your stuff?
I get a lot of stuff from Panther Hobbies in Etobicoke. Sunday Slot Cars are in Sarnia and have a good selection as well. Myself and Rahul (Conquest Racing) are also starting so sell some used track and cars depending on what you’re looking for.
Great stuff and what an amazing race it was! A shame that you didn't see your team perform. I feel your pain, same happened to me at the Australian GP. The one time that I went to a GP and it was theory time than Max had a DNF...
Yeah it sucked for Ferrari but the race itself was awesome. Yeah that’s true Australia was tough on Redbull. We should’ve attended the opposite races you and I 😂
GP would be super cool to attend! COTA is closest here
COTA would be an awesome track to go to! I’ve heard great things of watching a race there
How are you feeling? Hope your doing well
I’m doing good man, thank for asking!
Hey there Mo. Thanx for the race impressions of the rainy weekend in Montreal. I was watching from Thursday on the whole event and like over here, it was rainy, too. You had a pretty good seat to overlook the scenery at that curve. I remember very good, when Norris came out the pits and couldn`t get the traction on the track, to sneak in front of Verstappen. One of the key moments in that race. What tripped me out, was Nico Huelkenberg, who came from behind, using other tires than the rest and made all the way behind Hamilton on 7th place, but felt all the way back, when he went to the pits. He miscaculated that stop with his team and felt way, way behind. Even worse, than from the start on. Oh well. Ferrari did not have that success this season so far and they are behind expectations. Maybe that will change next year. In LeMans last weekend, they did better, winning the 1st and 3rd place in the Hypercar class, to repeat their debut success from last year. That was awesome to watch 24 hrs long. Sadly the Porsche Penske team only reached the 4th place there, afer getting the pole there. Also the GT3 result was cool, as well as the LMP2 series result. Porsche Manthey did win the GT3 class, which I liked much. I didn`t expect that the Corvette team did so bad this year, but Cadillac was good in the Hypercar on 7th place. Although rain did interfere the race and some safety car phases did interrupt it, it was fun to watch my most famous race to follow again. Next to the Nuerburg race, which is my 2nd favourite race. I wonder, how much you payed for the weekend, to be at the F1 race? The prices are so different compaired to each race. In Hungary you payed 100 €`s for instance and in Vegas you had to pay 1.500 €`s for that last season. The Hockenheim race track was refurbished and could now host a F1 race again, but it all depends on the money there now. The F1 is just very arrogant in terms of that, so therefore, there will probably not be any race of theF1 circus here in Germany for another while, which is sad, because Germany was always a F1 country. Those american Idiots, who are responsable for that, I do deteste therefore! Any way, keep your keel in the ditch Mo and keep`em comming 🙂
