SBK Factory "The Bike"- Episode 1 Taking Performance to New Heights

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

From www.OnTheThrottle.com, the first episode of "Taking Performance to New Heights," a web series following Jake Holden and SBK Factory on their journey to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
This first episode is all about the motorcycle- a custom built Kawasaki ZRX1224RR Superbike. The video gives viewers an inside look at the bike's development, which combines high performance aftermarket parts with SBK Factory's own in-house superbike engineering. SBK Factory owner and bike builder James Compton explains what went into putting together this "modern classic" superbike for rider Jake Holden to race up America's mountain this June.
Follow SBK Factory on Facebook, sbkfactoryracing, to see exclusive bonus footage of OnTheThrottle.TV's "Taking Performance to New Heights" series. SBK Factory develops one of a kind custom bikes and parts, built with factory works level craftsmanship and a local business passion. Learn more at www.sbkfactory.com.

Custom builders make tv shows and Race engineers make history..Why not watch a film about (and it is on YT) the "Britton V twin"...watch that and then tell me if Jesse James or OCC or any big name builder could do that...get the fuck outta here you idiot, imagine asking a custom bike builder to sort out a 220 hp top of the top World Super bike or AMA bike....now imagine asking a race engineer to build a chopper....who would you think would do better....wake the fuck up man a smell the coffee...trust me as an example watch that film about the "Britton V twin"....now that is a man who could build a bike, love to see a custom builder do that, imagine to create your own race winning engine from scratch...design it all..the heads, valves, liners, pistons, gearbox, clutch, everything even the moulds for the pour and the electronics to run it...from scratch...yeah....name me one custom builder who has done that...bolting a S+S to a hardtail frame aint exactly rocket science...christ you Harley fan boys are fucking delusional.

I love this 4 part series. I have a 1982 gpz750 and it's always broken down i want one of these ZRX bikes someday so its easier to get parts and more reliable. The project bikes are on a whole different level, unbelievably cool.

I remember that blue white green Kawasaki color combo when I was a kid. I grew up on a Kawasaki. And our little town only had one bike shop, a triumph/Kawasaki dealer. It was called all's cycle shop. But when I was younger I always saw that giant red Kawasaki sign. And refused to call it anything other than the Kawasaki shop from about the age of five up. Looking at the rows of brand new bikes in Kawasaki green was one of my favorite things to do. And I thought it was a dream when I actually got my very own kx80. Couldn't even touch the ground on my tippy toes unless I leaned. I didn't care. My dad said I'd grow into it. And the rest of my family thought he was crazy for getting it for me and I'd die. But we would ride together for hours on end. Through trails that went on for longer than our gas could take us. Those were some of the best times of my life. Following my dad's giant kdx 500. And he could barley touch the ground either. But he could ride. And taught me everything. Telling me to make sure I keep up and pushing me to get more confident on my bike. We didn't have allot. But we always had bikes for summer, snowmobiles for winter, and gas to fill them with. And I felt like I was the luckiest kid in the world sitting deep in the woods, just me and my dad, talking about what trails we take back toward home.

Very cool and inspirational! Ducati 1199 Panigale is down two cylinders and is running 98lb ft which is darn close to 100, but then again its a v-twin so tends to be more torquey than a inline.

Had been modifying my ZRX1100 about 7 or 8 years ago and my wife's health prevented me from pursuing my plans. I am attempting to pick up where I left off in May of 2024. Im retired Airforce aircraft maintenance. I may be recruiting Mr. Compton to pickup where I left off to get her running. it is probably 95% to be able to ride again. I would be contacting James with particulars. I have not lost my desire.

I don't think these liter bikes know your racing. And it's pretty obvious you've never ridden one. No smart or responsible rider constantly tries to go 10/10 on public roads on a supersport or superbike. Liter bikes are very different animals than supersports.

Very true speed is a drug to take in moderation. Back in 1985 I purchased new FZ750 this was not my first bike but this is when race replica began. My friend buys 87 GSXR 1100 I would smoke him the side streets.I got so good on that bike I was drifting during early 90s Now I am old soul with zx14 turbocharged life goes on.
