Garrett, I have been watching your videos for 3 to 4 years now, and I remember your post about your sweet little Albert when he passed. I don't have kids, I don't want kids. I do not even have nieces or nephews. What have had is a beautiful, gorgeous, little 6 pound chihuahua, Gracie, who I had to let go of when she was 15, due to old age issues back in 2020. The pain of losing her was excruciating and I still think about her and miss her immensely. What eased the pain a little, was coming home that day (after having to put Gracie to sleep), and seeing my other little 6 pound chihuahua, Unagi, that I had adopted from the Humane Society, after I got Gracie. Unagi is my world, after living with each other since 2014, he knows when we get up, he understands all of my words, we get each other. I consider myself to be the lucky one, not him. To have him, to have the gift of his devoted companionship, is something I never take fore granted. I watch your videos regularly, and just saw this video this evening. It is so very clear that you LOVE your dogs, and will do anything for them, they come first. I did not want to watch your video, because I knew, it would make me cry, but I also wanted to find out what happened. I sat on my couch holding my now 13 year old Unagi, and I had tears streaming down my face as I listened to talk about Linus; and your pain is palpable. There is nothing worse than losing your best friend, a companion. Someone who loves you everyday, no matter what. I can not express how very saddened I am to hear that you lost another one of your babies so soon after losing Albert. It hurts so bad. I know how empty and lost it feels not to have that little one running around your home anymore, and desperately wanting them back. To wake up in the morning, and realize that they are not there. It is horrible. I am glad that Albert and Linus had you and your husband in their lives. I always like to think no one can take care of my dog better than I do. No one, because my dog comes first in my life. I am so very, very, sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing this with us.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Anyone who has lost a pet, knows the struggle and deep pain you’re feeling. When I lost my BFF, Rufus, I arranged a foster opportunity the same day. That may sound cold to some, but there is nothing like doggie snuggles and kisses knowing you’re making a difference. It truly helped take some of the sting away and gave our other dog a companion to pal with helping his grief as well. Of course Marty McFly became a permanent member of our family. How could we possibly resist rescuing him? He helped save us all.

So very sorry to hear about Linus. Losing a dog suddenly is the worst, our dog passed from bloat when she was 10. By the time we got her to the vet it was too late. I think I cried every day for 2 months. It will get better but it definitely takes time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had 2 dogs. The older dog, Cisco, just died after 2 months of vet visits, tests to see if there was a cure. It turned out it was his time. I was making him people food and hand feeding him, carrying him outside to go to the bathroom. The vet finally said it was time, there was nothing left to do and he was in pain. Losing your best friend and buddy leaves a hole in your heart. I wish there was something to say that would help but there isn’t. You can be proud of the great life you gave to Linus and Albert. That’s the greatest gift you could have given them. They were lucky to have you in their lives.❤️
