I'm in the same situation as you guys. Kinda. I have a 3500 ram dually, hauling a 37 ft 5th wheel and I'm towing a 4 seater behind it. Also have a 2 seater Id like to take with me once in a while. Wife doesn't want a toy hauler.... Saw your videos of the rack over the cab. But did the math and realized I'd be too close to my GVWR of the truck. So I'm going to have to get a 22-24 foot flat bed trailer to tow both. Might have to look into a 4500 truck. Keep the video's coming!

Good video 😀 just my opinion I would never go from a hdt to a 4500 ram but it is your life

Thought about doing what you guys do with your truck and tow hauling. We live in an Rv as well. Love the color on the 4500. How do you like daily driving the 4500 without the trailer ?

Just found your channel and really like what you guys do. perked my attention when you'll, said you came through Mesquite have fun always!

thanks! yeah the biggest downfall of the semi was the limiting our ability to get to super remote camp spots

it was fun while it lasted, but it limited us greatly on where we could camp

We might get another someday, but that particular one just wasn’t working for us

Sooo..you guys going with Kelderman air ride, or Liquid Springs, either or will for sure help with the ride both loaded and unloaded.

@@FindingLifesAdventure you sound like me! I've gone back and forth on the hdt route. Problem is I like getting away from people and want the 4wd as it's cheaper then an offroad recovery bill. And trucks paid for... but some more power be nice One thing I noticed is you seemed to get a lot of forward and backward slap out of those seats? I got that in a sport chassis I drove and it wrecked my lower back after 40 miles

@@pilot41186 yes 4wd is an absolute must for what we do! Yeah those seats didn’t have the greatest air bases on them. I much prefer the legacy HD base. But after I fiddled with them off camera they were much better

Just watched the pro s and con s vid between the Ram & Peterbuilt, one thing i can fault you on is the differance of ages of both trucks that is a very old Semi firstly its a manual box plus double drive without cross/locks its so out of date folks I doubt it even has airbags on that age of truck which will equal a very hard ride. In the future try a much newer Volvo or Cascade with auto box and air ride it will be chalk & cheese you will find the Ram the hard rider and overstretched gearbox & engine against a newish Semi . try selling all those none needed toys and invest in a proper Semi or your bank account will not stay healthy pulling all that junk around in the long term. Not sure if buying the Ram in the USA like you did is the norm metting the seller in a car park , but in the UK that would be classed as real sketchy big time. Hope in the future the swear-box is used its does not add to your story...

How was your HDT insured rv motorhome are what. Could you give me a ball park cost of insurance for a year on the HDT.

Cost of insurance was only about 50 buck more for a year then our pickup, it was a specialty policy. Not an Rv policy

Okay.... Where's all the money coming from. I'm 56, managed to stash a million bucks compounding pretty damn good. I would be broke in 15 years going through cash like these guys🙄

It was definitely cool, I love Pete’s it just did work for us right now. If we were campground people I’m sure it would have been fine. Just doesn’t get us we’re we needed to go without having lockers.

a semi with no lockers is terrible for traction without significant weight behind it

Yeah it was terrible, the truck was supposed to have full lockers when we bought it. But the guy we got it from lied to us.
