I think you did a great job on the price. I am keeping my HE. The V8 is just smooth and addicting. I won’t ever buy another one in my lifetime…will pass this one down many generations from now. Congrats on the sale.

It’s a great price. Just don’t think I could have pulled the trigger on this one. That power plant is top tier! The new stuff will be riddled with issues for the next few years.

Yeah you’re definitely right about that… this (along with the 5th Gen. 4Runner) will be the last tried and true platforms from Toyota for at least a couple years.

Brandon and Kipp at RMR 4X4 are buying them all. I was close to purchasing one from them. You made the right choice. With the most recent news on the LC coming back to the US, these LC200 prices are going to drop very soon. Other than the V8, there really isn’t anything special about them, unlike the FJ80 and it’s triple lockers, front and rear solid axles, inline 6, they will always be sought after. Good choice in selling it. You would have made a little more off BAT but not much. Had you held on to it and decided to sell later down the road, you would have taken a larger hit. Congrats.

Values will go up a bit more, as exporters will ship them to countries where they are in big demand. I’m an exporter of LEXUS and Toyota products and I see the same thing going on with low mileage, well equipped LX570. But Land Cruisers are in greater demand. I would have kept it for another year. However, I know Mr Untamed will most likely be cruising around in the new Land Cruiser or GX550 sometime in the near future.

Consider talking a bit about the arrangements for transporting the LC to the buyer. Any cost on your end ? Liability ? and so on.

Hello UM! I'm a longtime subscriber (under several channel names) and had a quick question for you. I am thinking about selling my Magnetic Gray 2015 Toyota Tacoma (last year for the 2nd Gen.) Double-Cab V6 PreRunner, and I wanted to ask you what you think the value might be for this my truck? I mainly wanted your expert opinion, because I don't know what premium my truck might have, because it is the LAST of the Gen. 2 Tacomas. I bought the truck new, and have only put 35K miles on it. It has always been garaged, and the back seats haven't even been sat it. No smoker, no animals, no children (yeah...boring life). The truck has a clean CarFax, with zero issues to note. For reference, CarMax offered me 25K today, via an online appraisal. Thank for any input! I appreciate it!!

People love the Gen 2… with that mileage and clean carfax I’d say you could comfortably shoot for low 30s. 👍 at least to begin with, feel it out from there. Good luck with the sale! …..My son sold recently his beloved CT5 Blackwing (long story) to a dealer in Texas. We are in Ohio. The transport company sent a driver that had evidently never drove a manual (and probably never a 670hp car either). The driver gave it too much gas going up the ramps that were evidently not locked in the bed. They both kicked out and left the car sitting on its frame. It crushed the rocker panels and flattened the rear diffuser and exhaust tips. The Texas dealer fired the guy on the spot and had someone else there in an hour and a half. So yeah, calling out the driver about not giving you a heads up is ok in my book. I’m excited to see what’s next (if anything) as far as a replacement. I’m more excited to see Untamed Motors LLC get off the ground with its new building, etc.

@@UntamedMotors Rapid Red here.. a truck this big shouldn’t handle this well. I don’t push it super hard on windy roads .. like Malibu Canyon road or road up to Lake Arrowhead, CA (did both today) even though it acts like it will eat it up. Off road it’s cheat mode.

I have the FJ Cruiser my parents bot me 13 years ago when I was 16 lol. My local Toyota tells me it has the lowest mileage of any FJ that they have seen since they were new. I have something special so I'm keeping it to eventually sell for a fortune some day when I'm elderly lol I paid a reservation fee for a 2024 GX 550. It will be my first Lexus badged Toyota. FYI the midsized LC coming to America will use the same turbocharge 4 cylinder engine as the 2023 Tacoma lol.... NOT the same engine as the GX lol. It will be the only way Toyota will be able to get it reasonably priced

@@UntamedMotors The twin turbocharged V6 being used has been impressive in the 300 Series and currently dominating the Dakar Rally for the past 2 years in a row lol, in the T1+ Hilux that keeps winning lol, and in the production class in a nearly stock 300 Series lol. I'm eager to have the engine in a lighter midsized SUV tuned down for less power, so even more reliable! I meant to start my comment with "Your LC was something special and I would have kept it!"... Not sure why it is missing lol

Great move! As you don’t keep vehicles long, it was the right choice. I think the new Toyota products and Lexus GX will probably keep your future purchases and flips in full swing.

Honestly it’s the best thing. These have a niche market of buyers crazy enough to buy them at this price . Yeah they’re solid reliability but outdated and boring as hell.

V8 Tundras that are really nice have gone up in value because the new generation will NEVER be the reliable vehicles the 2021 and older trucks are. The LC will prove the same for people who understand. The 5th generation 4RUNNER will also be sought after when all you can get is a 4cly.
