Thank You David and all the musicians that gigged with him. My first taste of David was at the Beacon Theatre in NYC and then subsequently on the Arkansas River performance venue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Robben Ford was playing guitar and playing his stuff in Tulsa and Mike Stern was playing at the Beacon Theatre. I thought Mike Stern is the devil playing shit like that. I knew Robben from playing at Mickael's in NYC and hanging out with Roscoe Beck back stage. I had never heard of Stern before seeing him. But.. I would wind up sitting in the first table at 55 Christopher Street on Tuesday nights to have my doors fucking blown off by Stern and his accomplices. I wouldn't change a thing.
